How to prepare
• Discord will be our platform for the video calls, and we will play the game in Foundry vtt. • A decent microphone is required, webcam is optional. • While familiarity with the basic rules is helpful, it’s not required. This adventure is designed to be beginner-friendly, and I’m happy to guide new players through the experience. • New to D&D? Come as you are—we’ll get you rolling and ready for adventure! • Experienced players? Your expertise is welcome, too! Candlekeep Mysteries is an anthology, consisting of 17 one-shot adventures that are not connected to each other. It has a great oppotrunity for players to try out different characters for each adventure if they want to. There is no overarching story, no big bad, only if the players decide to connect the adventures into a campaign.
What I provide
• Discord Server: I’ll host the game on a dedicated Discord server. • Foundry vtt: I'll host the game on Foundry vtt. • Safe and Welcoming Space: Inclusivity and respect are top priorities—this will be a space where everyone can enjoy the game comfortably. • Materials: I’ll provide all the materials needed to play the campaign, so you can dive in without worrying about extra resources.
Gameplay details
• First Session Free: The first session will be free, giving you a chance to try the game and see if it’s the right fit for you. • Play Style: This is a live, voice-based game played over Discord. A microphone is required (camera optional). Expect immersive storytelling, collaborative roleplay, and a focus on fun over rigid rules. • Inclusivity: Players of all experience levels are welcome, from complete beginners to seasoned veterans. This is an inclusive, safe space where bullying and harassment are strictly prohibited. • Tone: To keep the game enjoyable for everyone, the content will ideally stay within PG boundaries. • Player Comfort: Your comfort and safety are important. Players will always have opportunities to voice any discomfort with topics that arise during gameplay.

How will character creation work
Players are encouraged to create their own custom characters. This game is best suited for 3-5 players starting at Level 1, using D&D 2024 rules. Character Creation Rules: • Use the 2024 Player's Handbook as the primary resource. • Additional content may be considered upon request if it aligns with the adventure’s tone. • Stats can be determined using standard array, point buy, or manual rolls. • Homebrew content and optional feats are allowed, pending DM approval. Characters should be finalized before the first session to ensure a smooth start. If the group or some members require it, we may hold a session for character creation.
