About the adventure

🏹Hallowed Ordnance🏹 Magipunk Monster-Hunting Homebrew! A conclave of desperate nobleman, scholars, and artisans see no other option as impending war threatens their homes, lives, and culture. As the Corlish settle colonies across the sea, they find that new lands mean new threats—war now the furthest thing from their minds. As they uncover that the ancient history of this land is not so ancient, they must also contend with monstrous foes of titanic proportion and their resources run scarce in a wilderness they must now call home. The possibilities are endless, the future is bright, if only humanity can grapple with the unstable blending of primal nature, unprecedented technological innovation, and the magic of a forgotten past. Join explorers and inventors alike in "Hallowed Ordnance", a long-term campaign set in an overarching homebrew world. This setting and game in particular are inspired by magipunk fantasy, with an inkling of political tension. The cross-genre blend of grounded, realism in hard fantasy with the absurdist scope and imagination of Japanese media-traditions. Think "RWBY" meets "Shadow of the Colossus". Imagine your favorite parts of "Monster Hunter" and "Dungeon Meshi", crossed with Norse Mythology. Battle giants, dinosaurs, dungeons, and ruthless terrain. Wield gadgets, gunpowder, sword, and sorcery alike, in a fight not just to brave a new world, but make sure the new world outlasts the destruction of the old one!

About me

Hello there! I'm Fitz (they/he), and I have been a GM for about 10 years—4 of those professionally. I run weekly paid games, high concept one-shots, and have built up quite the tight-knit community over at what we like to call "Also Dragons". Most of the campaigns I run take place in an overarching homebrew setting, spanning different genres, corners of the world, and differing types of magic and technology. Together they paint a larger picture, each player adding a brushstroke.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will occur in call, to allow for discussion of potential backstory connections and to allow consistency with the rest of the party. Nothing worse than a player making a character they are passionate about only to find that it's not a good fit for the setting or the group! There are some other details that will be elaborated on in Session Zero and may inform some player choices!

The current party

Weekly sessions, every Monday at 2pm Pacific (6pm Eastern)! Session zero/sit-in free for new players to get a feel for me as a GM <3

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Stable, reliable internet connection and audio quality required. Video preferred but totally optional.

What Fitz♦️🍏Also Dragons brings to the table

I have access to all official content on D&DBeyond, a slew of resources and animated maps/visual references which we will be using via a screensharing VTT method. I prefer this approach as I feel it best emulates an at-the-table feel and reduces the amount of tabs and things for people to keep track of!

Safety

How Fitz♦️🍏Also Dragons creates a safe table

Session Zero allows the players to take the floor, ask questions about the setting, make requests for content they would (or would not) like to see. We will get you oriented with the Also Dragons server, discuss house rules and general community dynamic, and go through content-consent checklists to gauge levels of comfortability with subject matter that may (but will likely not) arise.
