About the adventure

About me
Looking for a DM who can really run your adventure? Look no further, I'm dungeon master Alex and I am ready to breathe life into our games. I have been playing D&D for a long time now until I decided "hey, I can run my own games, why don't I?" And then everything fell in order. I have deducted that I can make a much better DM than a player, and the fact that I love to do so is what makes everyone on the table recall each session with fondness for a very long time. I believe that rule of cool must indeed trump the rulebooks when needed so, I take that to my table as well. I also love to take every oportunity to play with your character's back stories and personal goals. My adventures are full or roleplaying oportunities that will allow your characters to seek their personal goals whatever they are. I create games that feel organic thanks to their details, roleplaying and combat balance, well thought and prepaired stories and most of all, for giving my players the options to do whatever they like from the beginning of the game without messing up the story at all. Would you like to play as an adventurer group which targets honor and glory? Maybe you are after treasure and glittering gold no matter the cost. Or perhaps you wish to dive into the dark and evil aspects of the game where you can either pillage and slay the innocent or work under a sinister organization to dominate the world. I've got you covered. I carefully create all my adventures (even official ones) to be played by a good, neutral or evil group to allow the players to do their thing without restricting them. I have always an open door policy where we can discuss everything regarding our game in order to either improve or to provide with additional oportunities that each of you might want. I played in Alex's campaign for well over a year, and I had a blast! He is a terrific story teller and world builder. The game sessions were lively and fun, and Alex gives plenty of scope for player creativity. We genuinely were able to affect the world and to move the levers of fate. It was exactly what I imagined Fantasy Role Playing to be!

Our party was small. 2 Players. But I can say with all my honesty the DM handled it amazingly. One of the most immersive and cool campaigns I played. It was tough but he allowed us to explore all the possibilities and come up with our own plans. Definitely would advise to play this story once.

Creating your character
Characters will be created prior to session 0 on Roll20 so you can take your time and choose your epic path. There won't be any spieces restrictions however if you choose a non native race you won't be a native of Thylea but rather from another place of your choosing like Faerun, Ansalon, Greyhawk or any place of your choosing.

How Alex creates a safe table
Free session zero will be all about finalizing characters and explaining the premise of the campaign. I will also distribute the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist and plan the campaign accordingly During the game if a topic feels uncomfortable you can always use the X card anonymously and I will be able to circumvent on the spot. Also feel free to take a break anytime during the game if you need to. We all like to stay focused but sometimes things need our immediate attention.
