About the adventure
Hello! If you're wanting to learn to play this is the game for you! Even if you aren't feel free to join as well so long as you are welcoming and kind to new players and willing to help them grow and learn. I will be running the Dragon of Icespire Peak adventure module out of the essentials kit. We will start at level one, and by the end of the adventure should be level six. So if you're not sure about a super long commitment, no worries! All levels of players are welcome, and as shown in the title, I am down to teach new players how to play. From character creation to mechanics to roleplay, we will cover it all. If the roleplay part is still a little uncomfortable to you, no worries! They'll be no pressure to dive in, you can just be yourself! We will be playing on playrole.com, which has everything needed including video hosting. So all you will really need is an account there, which is free. It even has dice rollers of you don't have dice. Although, if you would like to roll real dice that's cool too! Character sheets can be input directly into there or is you uses dndbeyond, you can even import it form there. Theses are all things that I can help with so no worries if that seems a bit much! I have numerous source books and know where to find any other necessary information online if needed. You are welcome to play any official race and class so that you can truly make the character that you connect with! First session will likely be a session 0, especially with new players. All that means is, going over expectations, goals, desired playstyle, limitations, and chaarcter creation. And in the case of new players, we will also go over rules and basic how to play.
Game style
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

How to prepare
They will just need access to a computer and the internet and playrole.com account which is free. If players are in the same house, they can definitely share a computer and account. If they have some sort of character concept that's awesome, if not no worries we can figure it out!
What I provide
I will bring my knowledge of dnd and my enthusiasm for sharing my knowledge and bringing joy to others! I also have a handful of sourcebooks and the knowhow to find the information I don't have a book for. I will also have everything prepared and have things good to go in playrole.com.
Gameplay details
Any other warnings or things that may not be okay will be gone over in session 0. Am open to whatever safety tools or methods to make all feel safe.
