Led by the sinister Cult of the Dragon, an army of dragons and foul villains wage a merciless campaign to unleash their draconic god upon the world. Opposing them is a desperate alliance including the heroic Harpers and treacherous Zhentarim. This fragile coalition needs heroes to unite them and find ways to resist the draconic threat. About me

I’ve been immersed in the world of Dungeons & Dragons and other TTRPGs since I was 10, growing up with family reunions that would often culminate in epic D&D sessions, the sound of clattering dice mixing with laughter and cheesecake. For years, I enjoyed being a player, but when I wanted to dive back into the game, I found myself without a Dungeon Master. So, I embarked on the journey of becoming one myself, not knowing that it would become a passion I deeply cherish. I have now been a Dungeon Master for around 5-6 years, running three campaigns that have enriched my love for storytelling, character development, and the thrilling twists that bring stories to life. While I may not be Matt Mercer or wield a voice actor’s arsenal of accents, my goal is to create a fun, engaging, and unforgettable experience for every player at my table. I invite you to join me at my virtual table, where adventure awaits and fun is guaranteed. Let’s roll some dice and create a story worth telling!

Character creation

Creating your character

Session 0: We will talk breifly when you first join the party, then we will have a session 0 to discuss our characters and the story. Keep the following in mind. When you join, we’ll hop onto Discord for a quick chat about your D&D experience and walk through character creation together. Whether you’re brand‑new or a seasoned veteran, I’ll make sure you feel confident and ready to dive in. Character Details: Starting Level: 1st level Race and Class: Any available on DnD Beyond Multiclassing: Allowed, but limited to a maximum of 2 classes. Magic Items: N/A Gold: 50gp plus starter gold. Stats: 4d6 drop the lowest, reroll everything if it’s below 70, we will do this during session 0 Shared Background All characters hail from the same village, devastated by dragon cultists a decade ago. In the aftermath, you and your friends swore to hone your skills so such a tragedy could never happen again. Backstory Guidelines : Length: One page, front only Focus: Incorporate the shared‑village event Include: A clear short‑term goal for your character We’ll build your character using D&D Beyond

The current party

Tiefling- Cleric Human-Rogue ( currently deceased, hopes to come back someday) Kobold- Wizard Dhampir- Warlock/Druid Eldrin Ranger ( Prior Rogue)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To join the game, players will need: A working microphone (webcam optional, but preferred!) Discord account (its free this is how we will communicate in the game) Access to a Free DNDbeyond account. This will allow you to make a character, use my shared content and use the maps function to play the game. Install the Google/FIrefox Browser extension AboveVTT. Need help with this let me know and ill guide you through installing, using, and even removing it afterwards if you like.

What Freydis brings to the table

VTT (Virtual Tabletop): We will be using the Google/Firefox extension called AboveVTT. this is a browser extension very easy and safe to install. I can guide you through it. Its like Roll20 + DNDbeyond had a kid. Its also FREE. I can even guide you through removing it afterwards if you don't want it on your computer after. Custom Maps and Tokens: You'll explore hand-selected or custom-made maps tailored to match the adventure's dark, atmospheric tone. Tokens are provided for all players and enemies. Character Voices and NPC Acting: I try my best at NPC voices but sometimes they fall flat but I make up for in personality and roleplay-driven storytelling. I love bringing NPCs to life, whether they're suspicious villagers or ancient undead! D&D Beyond Content Sharing: I offer shared content access on D&D Beyond (if applicable) to help players easily build their characters. With over 50 species to choose from and almost as many Subclasses. Safety Tools: Full Lines & Veils discussion, X/N/O system during play, and post-session aftercare check-ins. Player-Focused Storytelling: I’m a story-first GM who loves collaborative storytelling. I encourage creativity, emotional moments, and unexpected heroics. Rules-as-Written with a Dash of Rule of Cool: I stick to the rules as often as possible to keep things fair and consistent. That said, I do lean into the Rule of Cool when it helps the story, rewards creativity, or simply makes the game more fun—without abusing the system. It’s a game first, and my goal is to make sure everyone is having a great time. Though I’m a seasoned DM, sometimes rules are forgotten in the heat of the moment. When that happens, I’ll make my best judgment call that feels fair to both the players and the spirit of the game. I’m not perfect—and even the great Matt Mercer has to look up a rule from time to time! Beginner Friendly: I love helping new players learn and feel confident, and I welcome questions at any time without judgment.

Homebrew rules

Crits: On a Crit hit during combat, roll for damage then add that to the max possible damage for that attack. Ex: Poison Spray (2d12) you crit, and roll 7dmg, you then add the max value 24 ( 2x12=24) to the 7 to get 21 pts of dmg. Flanking: You gain ADVAN when an ally is on the exact opposite side of the target an and within melee range. Skill Assist: To assist an ally in a skill check you must be proficient in that skill to aid without explanation. If you want to assistant and arent proficient with that skill, then you must convince me how you with little to know knowledge of the skill in use would aid them. Im not strict just need some creativity from you. Grapple: Grapple is no longer skill challenge based, If your grappling a creature you find your grapple DC following this formula: 8 + STR mod + Prof = Grapple DC. The party being grappled must roll a Athletics or Acrobatics skill check to attempt to dodge or break free from this grapple. Grapples may be used as a reaction as well. Grapples can be used by enemies as well. Health Potions: If you consume a health potion as an action, you get max effect. If you use a bonus action, you roll for the result. You may feed a potion to an ally as an action, rolling for a result, or pass one to an ally using a bonus action. Intimidate: Barbarians may use STR for intimidation checks in stead of CHA.

How Freydis creates a safe table

I’ll be hosting a brief Session 0 with players before game day. During that time, we’ll go over your Lines and Veils, comfort levels, and any sensitive topics you'd like to avoid or keep behind a curtain. I use X, N, and O signals during play: X = I need this to stop immediately. Thumbs DOWN N = I'm uncomfortable; please shift scenes or tone. SIDEWAYS Thumbs up O = I’m okay and having fun, even if my character seems distressed. Thumbs UP These can be sent via private message, typed into the chat, or held up on video—whatever you're most comfortable with. 🧩 After the game, I always check in with players to make sure everyone is okay and got what they needed from the experience. You're welcome to message me after if you'd prefer a private debrief. 💬 I encourage roleplay and emotional engagement, but your comfort and boundaries come first. I'm here to create a safe, immersive, and enjoyable experience for everyone at the table.
