About the adventure

The road to Phandelver is supposed to be quiet, just a simple escort job for a dwarven prospector with big dreams. But when he vanishes and goblins strike from the shadows, you find yourself drawn into a wider mystery: an ancient mine long buried, a town sitting on the edge of secrets, and forces willing to kill to keep them hidden. This is Lost Mine of Phandelver, rebuilt for Nimble. A fast, streamlined take on the classic 5e ruleset that keeps the heart of D&D while trimming the bloat. Perfect for players who want to dive into the action, make meaningful choices quickly, and focus on what matters most: bold adventuring, clever tactics, and satisfying roleplay. Ideal for newer players or veterans seeking a low-prep, high-fun system. We’ll focus on cinematic action, character-driven exploration, and the unfolding mystery at the heart of the Sword Coast. The classic module has been retooled to run tighter and leaner, fewer fiddly bits, same great flavor. No system mastery required. Just bring your creativity, your courage, and a taste for adventure.

Game style

Rules as Written (RaW)

Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Party notes

This will be a dedicated, medium length campaign. Spanning between 10 - 16 sessions. This will be an adventure running from 1st to 8th level. We'll have a session 0 (free) where we'll all get to know each other and discuss the campaign briefly, character creation (Pre-Gens available), and talk about desires and expectations!

How to prepare

A mic in a quiet environment for Discord (no video). If you are unable to prevent background noise, you must be on toggle mute or push to talk. Foundry VTT tends to work best on Chrome and is my suggestion.

What I provide

I provide: Foundry VTT, maps in old-school/vector styles. I use Music throughout the session and am very familiar with rules. I love creating unique scenarios where my players can get creative and embrace the magical game we are playing in.

Gameplay details

I'm a fan of communication tools. I trust my players to talk, in anyway they are comfortable, that we should skip a scene or avoid a subject (Typically during session 0). I don't find any "subject" necessary for my games. So if anything doesn't work for you, let me know and it can be changed pretty easily.

How will character creation work

Character creation occurs during session 0 (Free). Pre-generated characters will also be available as options! Any necessary resources will be provided by me. I tend to use any official content in my games; homebrew should be talked about first. If you want to prep your character before session 0, that is allowed.
