About me
A writer, poet, and anthropologist, I love to introduce new players to the fantastical worlds I grew up in and love even more building new worlds with players of all experience levels (including no experience!) DMing is a passion of mine, something I am always striving to improve at: the physical world around me is littered with sourcebooks, notebooks, guides, print-outs, Post-Its, dice, half-painted miniatures, and other paraphernalia related to this incredible hobby. All of my games are LGBTQ+ friendly, and my tables are safe spaces where everyone is welcome, so long as they believe that everyone is welcome.

Creating your character
At least one character will be created per player during session 0. Star Trek Adventures does encourage creating additional characters beyond your "main character", so be prepared to make at least one "b-plot" character. Secondary characters may belong to a different department or work in a different part of the ship and are made so that players never feel left out of participating in the ongoing events of a game session. A comprehensive Session 0 will be performed, including theming and concepts for the campaign. Players joining after Session 0 will work with me over SPG and/or Discord leading up to their first session to build their characters and figure out their entry point into the campaign.
Preparing to leave spacedock at 8:00 pm EST on Thursday, June 26th, 2025! 🖖 Create your very own Star Trek character! 🚀 Take to the stars at the farthest reaches of the galaxy aboard the toughest ship in the fleet! 🪐 Explore strange new worlds! 👽 Seek out new life! 🏢 And new civilizations!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A free Role account will be necessary (http://app.playrole.com/), as will a free Discord account (http://www.discordapp.com). Experience with dice-based TTRPG systems is appreciated, but not necessary as rules will be taught during play.
What Gerald brings to the table
I will bring with me an enthusiastic attitude, lots of transporter mishaps, and plenty of fun to the Final Frontier! I also bring with me a gaming community full of great weirdos. My Discord channel is full of fun people who love gaming in all its forms and fun conversations take place daily. We also run Community Events every month to bring new experiences to the table!

How Gerald creates a safe table
Content warnings are non-comprehensive, due to the nature of a bunch of people coming together to hang out together while playing a game. Conversely, the content warnings are not a guarantee. We may go the entire campaign without ever touching some of these subjects - again, due to the nature of a group of people coming together because of a shared interest. If something comes up during a session that makes you uncomfortable, there are many ways you can make that known, including an anonymous pre-game survey you can fill out, X-Cards, and Lines & Veils. You will never be expected or pressed to share your trauma history with anyone else at the table; simply saying "X this" is enough to change direction of the session, and filling out the pre-game survey can prevent questionable content from being presented in the first place. There will be a link to an anonymous Google Forms survey you can fill out regarding content upon joining the campaign, and everyone is encouraged to fill it out.
