About the adventure

🎪 Roleplay-Heavy | Beginner Friendly | LGBTQ+ Inclusive: Wild Beyond the Witchlight 🎭 🧚 About the Adventure: Welcome to the Witchlight Carnival — a place of wonder, whimsy, and weirdness that only appears once every eight years. But beneath the glitter and glow, something is off. Memories go missing. Dreams are stolen. And the Feywild is waiting... In this LGBTQ+ inclusive, beginner-friendly campaign, you'll step into a fairytale world full of quirky characters, glittery choices, and heartfelt stories. This is not your typical dungeon crawl — expect rich storytelling, emotional depth, and a strong emphasis on roleplay, character interaction, and collaborative storytelling. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or totally new to D&D, this is a safe, supportive, and inclusive space to be your most creative (and possibly chaotic) self. 🏳️‍🌈 🎭 What to Expect: ✅ Roleplay-first focus — characters, connections, and choices ✅ Welcoming to new players — rules are taught as we go ✅ Queer-affirming, inclusive table culture ✅ Combat-lite, but meaningful when it happens ✅ Creative solutions over min-maxing ✅ Collaborative storytelling & personal arcs encouraged! 🌟 Player Safety & Table Culture: This table uses Lines & Veils, X/N/O cards, and Session Zeros to ensure a fun, respectful experience for all. Bigotry of any kind is not tolerated. We’ll build a story together where everyone feels heard, valued, and safe to express themselves. 🎟️ Ready to join the Carnival? If you're looking for magic, mischief, and meaningful stories — grab your ticket and step into the Feywild. Your next adventure awaits, and it’s going to be fabulous.

About me

She/They | LGBTQIA+ Inclusive I’ve been rolling dice for nearly 30 years, and for the last 5 years, I’ve had the pleasure of stepping behind the DM screen to bring worlds to life. With a background in theater and improv, I’m all about dynamic storytelling, collaborative worldbuilding, and creating experiences that are as fun as they are memorable. I believe that communication and collaboration are key to great adventures, and I’m here to make sure everyone’s voice is heard. Whether you’re new to D&D or a seasoned player, I love guiding you through the game’s intricacies and showing how your choices shape the world around you. I’m especially passionate about character-driven stories — the sillier, the better! I thrive on creating narratives where your wild ideas and quirky characters push the story forward in unexpected ways. Expect plenty of laughs, emotional moments, and a lot of creative freedom. Let’s create something epic together — no matter where you are on your D&D journey.

Creating your character

🧳 Player Prep Checklist Before we set foot in the Feywild, here’s what you’ll need to do to get ready for the adventure: ✅ 1. Join the Campaign Discord All communication happens in our dedicated Discord server — from voice chat during sessions to roleplay, announcements, and memes between games. The invite link will be sent upon booking your spot! 🎲 2. Create Your Character (Start at Level 3!) Starting Level: 3rd — because you're already a little awesome. Stats: Use Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) Sources Allowed: Official 5e content (Tasha's, Xanathar's, etc.) — feel free to ask about something special! Backstory Hooks: Bring a memory your character lost at the Carnival or a personal goal they’re chasing. We'll work together to tie it into the world! 🗺️ 3. Set Up on Roll20 We’ll be using Roll20 for maps, rolls, and visuals. You’ll get a game invite where you can import or build your character sheet right in the platform. 🎭 4. Be Ready to Roleplay This is a character-driven, roleplay-forward game! Think about your character’s personality, fears, dreams, and what makes them tick. No pressure to perform — just come ready to explore and connect. 🛡️ 5. Review Our Safety Tools We’ll go over Lines & Veils, X/N/O cards, and boundaries during Session Zero. This is a space where respect, inclusion, and comfort come first.

What to expect

What Mel Q brings to the table

This Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign is all about character-forward storytelling — your backstory, your decisions, and your emotional journey matter here. We’ll weave your character's past into the magic and mystery of the Feywild, crafting a collaborative story full of charm, chaos, and heart. We play using Roll20 for visuals and dice and Discord for voice (and optional text roleplay between sessions!). Whether you're chasing lost memories or making unlikely allies with mischievous fey, the focus is always on roleplay, connection, and creativity. Rules are here to support the story, not get in its way — so we embrace the Rule of Cool, reward clever ideas, and lean into the weird and whimsical. If you want to wrestle a sentient top hat or befriend a talking cupcake, you're in the right place. 🌈 Safety and inclusivity are a top priority. We use Lines & Veils, X/N/O cards, and regular check-ins to make sure everyone feels comfortable and respected. This is a table where you can be your authentic self, explore your character’s journey, and have a damn good time doing it. Let’s tell a story that’s heartfelt, hilarious, and just a little bit haunted by glitter.
