About the adventure

Adventure Awaits in the Forgotten Realms: Phandelver and Beyond Welcome to a world of untamed wilderness, ancient secrets, and perilous adventures. Set in the Forgotten Realms, this campaign combines the classic Lost Mine of Phandelver with the updated Shattered Obelisk and Dragon of Icespire Peak, creating an epic journey perfect for newer adventurers and those eager to explore a rich, immersive low-magic setting. The town of Phandalin is a frontier settlement on the edge of civilization, surrounded by sprawling forests, rugged mountains, and untold dangers. As new heroes, you'll navigate the challenges of survival in this harsh land, balancing the quest for treasure with the need for food, shelter, and allies. Along the way, you'll face cunning bandits, hungry beasts, and ancient terrors that have lain dormant for centuries. In this campaign, magic is rare and wondrous, making even the smallest enchantments precious. The focus lies on resourcefulness, teamwork, and storytelling, where clever decisions and bravery are as important as strength or spells. Whether you're delving into forgotten ruins, battling a dragon's icy fury, or uncovering the mysteries of the past, every step of your journey will test your wits and courage. Sharpen your blades, prepare your packs, and steel your resolve—Phandalin is calling. Adventure, danger, and glory await those bold enough to answer!

How to prepare

Minimum Requirements: * A good microphone. * Stable internet. * Web browser. * An account on roll20, dndBeyond and discord.

What I provide

I bring Roll20 subscription to ensure your character sheet can be exported and/or saved flawlessly, in case there is a change. D&D Beyond Master subscription with most of the content unlocked. Both official campaign maps as well as custom maps will be used to create the world you will be living and adventuring in. I will do my best to embody the characters you will meet as well as use awesome music for ambience and battle. Rule of Cool is always welcome, but I do have limits to what I perceive as rule of cool ( you still die if you jump into the dragon's mouth, no matter how cool it looks) Always ready to teach new people the ways of Dungeons and Dragons. There will be use of Lingering Injuries upon taking a critical hit as well as exhaustion, when rolling Death Saves. What you can expect from this DM: I am a Lawful Neutral GM. I do not fudge dice. Your accomplishments are solely and completely yours, so is your failures. Dice is the god, players are the instigators and i am just the referee. Game Contents. Well planned, light hearted, 4th wall breaking, story driven missions. Unforgiving world, forgiving DM. Roughly %50 Combat, %30 Exploration, %20 Social Interaction. I follow rules. Not because they are perfect but to have consistency between different tables and hundreds of different players. A common ground. I don't like cheese. No rest-casting. No guidance every minute for 10 days worth of survival check. Optimising/being strong is encouraged, i just don't like game/lore breaking stuff. I run fast games. Fast combat turns, quicker exploration, defined social interactions, as little retcons as possible. I prepare lots of things to do in a session and I can't wait to go through many of them. I don't like summons/companions. The less creatures the better. If you can, prepare single summon spells; if you can't change spells, just summon one creature. Death. I am never aiming to kill your PCs but sometimes unfortunate things happen. Reviving is fine ( PC on PC or otherwise when possible)

Gameplay details

There will be a session 0, in which the group will discuss the GM's playstyle, table rules as well as expectations. All players shall talk about their expectations from the game, group and DM. There will be an X card on the Roll20 VTT, which ALL player will be able to use. How will character creation work

You will need to have a character in mind before session 0 and create it on D&Dbeyond's campaign link. A general description like ( Species, Class, Background) would suffice. The character will start at level 1. On session 0, we can iron the missing details. You can always contact me, if you have a question or require help creating your character. For STATS you will use the Standard Array. No rolling or point buy. Once your characters reach level 5, then and only then a new character can use Point Buy. Species should be from the following books: PHB ( 2014, unless the party wants 2024 rules), MPMM, TCE Class: Any class from the available resource in my D&DBeyond is valid. ( Currently unavailable classes from Fizban, Bigby, Planescape) Characters will use XP to level up. When the threshold to level up is reached, the party will need a LONG REST, in order to level up. Only Backgrounds that do not grant feats are allowed.
