Attack of the Swarm - Starfinder 1e [New Game|Beginner Friendly]
The Suskillon Defense Force (SDF) is calling on you to help protect the Suskillon system from the ravening hunger of the Swarm.
About the adventure
Hate Bugs? Join the Fight to "Exterm" the Swarm! This is more than a battle for survival, it’s a fight for Suskillon itself. The Swarm threatens everything we hold dear: our homes, our families, and our future. Now’s the time to step up, rally together, and show what Suskillon is made of. Shoot, slice, blast, and burn these bugs back to the void they crawled out of. A good bug, is a dead bug. Join now and become the frontline hero Suskillon needs. Grab your gear, strap in, and remember: victory against the Swarm is "exterm-ly" satisfying!

About me
Do you like rolling dice, getting a Nat 1 and feeling the "consequences of your actions"? That's what I am here for. Hi, I’m Lucas, a professional Gamemaster since 2021, with over 3,000 hours of experience running games across a wide range of systems. 🎲What’s it like playing with me?🎲 "Make me an attack roll." "I rolled a 2." (sad player) "That’s a miss." And many more exciting gameplay moments like this! 💡Common things you will hear in my sessions:💡 "Wow you guys are rolling really badly tonight" "You can try it, sure, let's see how it goes" "How did this even happen?" I enjoy creating epic combats, storytelling opportunities and fun banter. Each group works differently and I will build my sessions around what each group wants, whether the group is here for serious roleplay or just to roast my NPC names.

Creating your character
All official content is allowed, except from other Adventure Paths or Standalone Adventures other than this one. We will be using standard point-buy. This is a beginner friendly game, so please no broken combos. It's ok to build a character with good synergy, but it becomes less fun when someone just wants to create a broken build they saw online.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You must have a decent microphone and internect connection. Knowledge of the rules are not required. Since we are using Foundry, you don't need to pay anything extra. You can use Foundry itself or Archive of Nethys for rules.
What Lucas brings to the table
I will try to automate the VTT as much as possible for each individual player. I will try to find the highest resolution maps to use and have hundreds of music in different playlists to use. I like to mix Rule of Cool and Rule as Written as much as possible, to make it fun for everyone.
Homebrew rules
I have a few suggested house rules that I will bring during session 0.

How Lucas creates a safe table
We will have a Session 0 before the game starts to discuss characters and expectations. Starfinder is a crunchy system with fast-paced combat. A lot of abilities can take some time to read and understand, it is not an issue to stop and ask if you aren't sure what an ability does, even if it means taking a minute or so to look it up. The break happens in the middle of the session, for 15 minutes. After most sessions, I will ask what the players want from the rest of the campaign, and what they want less of.
