About the adventure

Start your own premium Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Adventure Path! Individual players welcome. No experience with D&D or Fantasy Grounds necessary. Something wicked this way comes... The powerful sorceress who rules the realm of magic has gone missing. In her absence, a malignant darkness is spreading. It's up to your and your party to restore the balance! Create a hero to take the battle to the enemy: an Elf Ranger, a Tiefling Rogue, a Dwarf Cleric, a Human Wizard or maybe a Dragonborn Paladin. Arm yourself get ready for adventure! In this online campaign, you will save the Fey Realm from encroaching evil. The adventure will take a party of heroes from 1st to 12th level--and maybe beyond!

About me

Join a campaign with one of the top-rated Game Masters on StartPlaying! I specialize in running official Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. I love introducing the game to new players, so if you're unsure of the rules, or new to online role playing games, give one of my games a try! I've run games for players from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels, including volunteering as a DM with kids and young adults with autism. My games are a safe space for LGTBQ+ players, players of colour and players with neurodiversity.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players may participate in a free 'Session 0' for character generation. Characters can be created in D&D Beyond, but we will work together to transfer their details to Fantasy Grounds. Player options will be restricted to the 2024 Player's Handbook * No Unearthed Arcana content

The current party

Now recruiting at level 4. Every other Friday. The current party is an Orc Druid, a Dwarf Barbarian, a Fairy Rogue, a Fairy Cleric and a Human Fighter. What do you want to play?

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need profiles for Discord and Fantasy Grounds (basic access for both is free). No experience with D&D, Fantasy Grounds, or Discord required. Reach out if you're not sure how to get started!

What Scott N brings to the table

DM is a Fantasy Grounds Unity Ultimate license holder (players join and use FGU for free). By joining the campaign in Fantasy Grounds, you will get access to all of the content you need.

Homebrew rules

I stick to the rules as written, rather than make you learn house rules--but if you want to *bend* the rules, describe something cool and cinematic, and it just might work!

Safety

How Scott N creates a safe table

Players will participate in Session 0, and review Lines & Veils. The Digital Deck of Player Safety will be part of this process. In addition, I have a Fantasy Grounds extension that allows users to anonymously submit requests to signal discomfort with subject matter (X, N & O's).
