Olympia: A Greek Mythology game

Olympia: A Greek Mythology game

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

In Olympia, you are no ordinary hero—you are a demigod born of Olympus, blessed by ichor and forged for glory. But unlike the legends before you, your fate is unwritten. The Moirai—those who weave the threads of destiny—cannot see your future. That makes you dangerous. Or divine. Set in a mythic version of ancient Greece where monsters roam the seas, oracles speak riddles that shape history, and the gods walk among mortals, this campaign blends epic heroism with divine intrigue. Your journey will span centuries, from the founding of Athens to the Trojan War, the Persian invasion, and the rise of a new world. Along the way, you will fight beasts of legend, contend with cunning mortals and jealous immortals, and decide what kind of legacy you will leave behind. Will you rise to become a champion of Olympus, an agent of chaos, or a god in your own right? Will you uphold the will of Zeus or defy it? The power to shape myth is in your hands—but be warned: in a world where songs are sung of heroes, not all who seek fame survive the tale. Olympia is a roleplay-forward, high-drama campaign perfect for players who love mythic storytelling, character-driven arcs, and rewriting history with their bare hands. Whether you're a fan of Clash of the Titans, Hades, or The Iliad, this is your chance to step into legend.

Game style

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Combat Heavy

“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Rules as Written (RaW)

Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.

How to prepare

This is a Voice/Video game so a mic and camera is required. Other than that make sure your computer is capable of running zoom and the rest will be figured out during session 0. No other preparation required.

What I provide

Physical and Digital Dice are both welcome. Other than that, all you will need is a mic, camera, and computer to run the game on. We use Zoom, Roll20 (for maps and visuals), Dnd Beyond (you will have full access to all adventure and source books through content share), and Talespire (a 3D tabletop software we use through Zoom screenshare, no purchase or prior experience with the software is necessary). Everyone will be entitled to one free Hero Forge mini per character that I will import into the Talespire experience so you can really see your character come to life! I run my games with music, visuals, intense combats, voices, commitment to roleplay, a strong attention to the rules as written and fun with the rule of cool when appropriate. Combat can be intense but rewarding. Come out to a free session 0 to chat with me about the game and I can more thoroughly explain my GM style, the game, expectations, and answer any questions you may have :)

Gameplay details

I will hold a free session 0 for a player before they are officially admitted into the game where will officially review the table rules, the adventure content, and all questions can be answered. We will review conduct and ethics at the table as well as in game topics, character creation and story content to ensure all parties are interested and comfortable with the game they are entering into. I have an open door policy if anyone ever has any discomfort with the game, myself, or other players that will remain anonymous and safe between me and the player. I will always do everything I can to respect the players wishes while trying to come to a respectful and discreet resolution to any problems that may arise.

How will character creation work

All PC's will play a custom race of Demi Gods. But that race is very diverse in appearance (Humans, Elves, Minotaurs, ect...). I am open to 2024 and 2014 built characters (all feats, spells, and class choices must be one or the either). There is an expectation there character will be built to fit the themes of the game. I will be happy to help with any backstory or mechanical creation needs and will be happy to expand on them in session 0 :) First Session is Free!
