Is it wrong to .....?! | Levels 1-15 campaign for 5.19e ruleset!

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

This is a 5.19e game that is inspired by fantasy anime like Danmachi, Delicious in Dungeon, as well as games such as Metaphor: ReFantazio and Unicorn Overlord. The 5.19thE ruleset is developed by Logan Laidlaw, as a 5th-Edition subsystem intended to accelerate gameplay, bring excitement to otherwise stagnant or rough parts of games, and introduce many new classes, monsters, races, and more! Players will create characters using the system at level 1 to explore and experience the world. Characters can be made with roleplay in mind with elements of dungeon delving.

How to prepare

Players will need a Discord and Roll20 account to play in the game. For audio purpose, you will need to be able to hear me, but it is recommended to have a mic but not required you may post any responses or actions in the game in the Roll20 chat. For characters you will need to provide a art piece to represent them in the game and that I can use to make a token for combat encounters. Rules and character creation will be discussed in session 0.

What I provide

I will run the game through my own discord server as well as through a game created on the Roll20 VTT. The 5.19thE reference book will be provided through a google drive link in the server. My GMing style is to create a safe and fun environment for my players to enjoy and experience. I try to use character voices for any NPC my players come across to help immerse themselves in the world, as well as ambient music to set the tone of the scene or combat. When it comes to combat, I prefer a fair combat that will give the players a challenge to over come and to have the players leave feeling accomplished and satisfied in their victory. I also attempt to weave a narrative into the combat to progress the story.

Gameplay details

In session 0 we will set what kind of game both the players and myself expect to play. This discussion will include content and adventure type. During session players will have access to the X,N, and O cards rebranded as the Traffic light system. This is used by myself and players, Red meaning stop the session immediately, we are done for today, and proceed to making sure everyone is okay. Yellow calls for a fade to black where the scene ends and the game moves forward, and green shows that you are okay going forward with this content. During the halfway point in the session we will take a 10 to 15 minute break to go to the restroom, recenter ourselves, get snacks and drinks, etc. At the end of session we will do Stars and Wishes. players get to voice their reflections in a positive light about the game with, Stars being something your really like about the session and Wishes being what you would like to see more of appearing in the game. Lastly, the open door policy, at anytime a player needs to disengage from the game, because they feel unsafe, need a breather from the game, or have to go due to personal reasons, they may leave the game at anytime.
