About the adventure
"In the city of sails and salt, where fortunes rise and fall with every tide, there stands a tavern as steady as the shore..." Welcome to Siren’s Grail — a modest tavern tucked between crooked warehouses and sun-bleached docks, where the scent of salt and ale hangs perpetually in the air. In a city of roaring trade, pirate crews, and fleeting businesses, the Grail is strangely, stubbornly normal. The floors are well-worn but not rotten, the mugs chipped but clean. The menu is simple, the rooms are serviceable, and the fireplace crackles with an ordinary, steady warmth. There are grander taverns in the city — some glittering with gold, others dripping with danger — yet none last as long as the Siren’s Grail. Others burn, drown, or fade with time. The Grail remains. The barkeep, too, has stood behind the counter longer than anyone can rightly recall. No pirate tales of cursed immortality follow him, and no magical glow haunts the walls — just a man, polishing glasses with a practiced hand. Yet even the saltiest of sailors nod to him with quiet respect, as though they owe him something they cannot name, nor wish to speak of. You are more than just patrons — you are part of the crew. Servers, cooks, bouncers, minstrels, and medics — you’ve taken work at Siren’s Grail, drawn by steady pay, honest labor, or perhaps a nagging feeling you can’t quite shake. It is a quiet place amid chaos, an island of calm in a storm-tossed city. But beneath that calm lies something deeper, something unseen. As you clear plates and sweep floors, the questions linger: Why has this unassuming tavern outlived empires? Why does the barkeep’s gaze seem to weigh heavier than years should allow? How does the barkeep always know when someone is going to arrive at the door? And what lies beneath the cellar, behind that heavy, rusted door no one ever speaks of — the one no key ever seems to fit? Adventure, it seems, doesn’t always begin with grand fanfare. Sometimes it begins in the quiet places — in the ordinary corners of an extraordinary world. One thing is certain: If you stay at the Siren’s Grail long enough, you may discover that its quiet is only the surface of something far deeper.

About me
Hello everyone! I'm Katie, and I've been running 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons since high school. By day I'm a pharmacy technician and by night I'm a DM that's always up to run a game. I'm not very rule-heavy, and will often use the base rules as a guideline or just as suggestions. I believe that the Rule of Cool exists as long as it's within reason and the dice are in your favour! I pride myself on building custom story lines, map making, and story telling. I don't mind homebrew as long as it's verified by me and I'm willing to work with you to make your character fit the setting. I have a discord that's turning into a small community where games are hosted by myself and then a few other dm's who are brand new and starting out.

Creating your character
Character creation will be posted in my discord depending on the level the party is at should you join late :)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a decent microphone so everyone can understand you. You don't need to install software or buy anything. I'll have everything hosted on FoundryVTT for you. Please have a character idea made before session 0 so we can do some introductions then :)
What Null brings to the table
I'll have custom maps, music, storylines and everything built for characters that's possible for the game. Expect a campaign that is full of adventure, roleplay, and puzzles. Depending on where the party is and the quests they pick up anywhere between simple to harsh combat. The game is open world and sometimes just exploring can reveal hidden secrets and quests that could change the way you see parts of the campaign and its people. The game is milestone based and certain quests will grant a level up. I'm a fan of the Rule of Cool, but I'm also a fan of balance and will often refer to the rules in the book should I ever be concerned about anything.

How Null creates a safe table
I have a google form that is filled out before you join a game. We have a session 0 that goes everything on the form as well. After sessions we talk about the game and give feedback. If you ever feel concerned about voicing opinions aloud, feel free to send me a message and I'll make sure to change things to make you comfortable as a player as well.
