About the adventure

A group of brave adventurers has taken on the quest to save the stolen princess from the evil dragon's lair! An introductory one-shot to the game of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. Newbies welcome and encouraged. The story is modeled after a classical fantasy adventure, with a special twist. The format of this One-Shot (one-time adventure) is crafted purposefully to help new Players get comfortable with a system. With some options on problem solving, dealing with failure, and grand-scale combat to top it all off. I can't wait for you to help me save the life of the princess.

About me

A dark cavern. A hooded figure, singular, wielding a torch. Two Portals open. What path do you choose? I have been running and playing TTRPGs for over 5 years now, since 2019. That may be less than you've seen from others, but I guarantee the quality is the same. I specialize in high fantasy, but am excited to try new avenues and genres. I run my games with a high focus on story, character connection, cinematic scene crafting, and player agency. I major in Theater and Creative Writing, two things I would love to bring to your next tabletop experience.

Character creation

Creating your character

You don't need to have ANY character creation done beforehand! This will be done as part of the one-shot. However, if character creation takes so long that we don't get to have the actual one-shot, then I'll waive the fee for that session, and we'll plan a second to finish the game. As for wants, all characters will be Level 1. Stats will be determined using one of the 3 core choices (Rolling, Point Buy, or Standard Array). And no written backstory is required. However, if you want to write one anyway, I will try my best to incorporate it into the session somehow. But be aware, Princess Quest is a pretty tightly wound story in order to maximize efficiency for the game experience. But I promise to try.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All I need from you is your voice. The rest I will help you with as we go.

What DM.exe (Connor) brings to the table

I provide everything you need! No need to have dice, we can use digital. No need to have your own character sheet, I have digital! And I'll take the time to walk each player through how to use the virtual resources we'll use for the session, free of charge. As for what I personally do, I like to think I'm the full package. I try my best to have interesting voices, I keep things ambient with music, I keep things dynamic and always try to reward creative choices!

How DM.exe (Connor) creates a safe table

I always start by sending the consent sheet checklist. And in my 5 years of play, I've never had an incident where a player felt so uncomfortable they wanted to leave. And I think part of that falls on my openness to letting them. Nothing matters more to me than player comfort. Which is why almost every element of Princess Quest can be changed in order to make everyone more comfortable.
