About the adventure
In a cold expanse at the edge of the world, Durixaviinox lairs beneath the ruins of the draconic city of Vexinoth. Though many now call him the Ruined Providence, this frost-breathing ruin dragon once ruled as a benevolent and all-powerful emperor who amassed enough reverence to rival the gods. But Durixaviinox was betrayed by his sister Yserthrax, who conspired with Qazyldrath to destroy the city. The conflict killed countless dragons on both sides and Durixaviinox was left for dead, his body buried beneath the rubble of a oncemighty civilization. But the Providence refused to die, bringing himself back from the brink through force of will. As Durixaviinox slowly regained his physical might over a millennium of wound licking, he swore oaths of revenge against his sister and Qazyldrath. He plans to bring an eternal winter to the Mundane World, making it a place fit only for those with frigid hearts. A cult dedicated to one of Durixaviinox’s draconic rivals seeks your assistance to make sure the Ruined Providence never rises again. The cultists claim that a war among the dragons would devastate the Mundane World.

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

How to prepare
Have a decent quality Mic. A good camera is encouraged but not required. You must have a Discord, a D&D beyond account, and Roll20. No additional software is necessary. Players can roll physical or digital dice. A character sheet via dnd beyond or roll20 is required.
What I provide
I will provide maps with dynamic lighting. I also use a music bot to add further immersion in various scenes. I provide quality voice performances to enhance the characters, monsters, and environment.
Gameplay details
I will provide a Consent form as well as a Session 0 Checklist for the player to send back to me so that I am aware of any do's and dont's for sessions.

How will character creation work
Anything from the official source books is fine, all homebrew is subject to my approval. Starting Level is 14. If you have a character in mind already you may use that if I approve it. 2024 rules are A ok for this oneshot! For generating stats, you may use either standard array, point buy, or one of the additional following options: 7·9·11·12·15·18 8·9·11·13·15·17 5·6·8·16·17·18 7·9·10·14·16·16 Youre character also gets - 5,000 gp plus 1d10 × 250 gp (can be used for healing potions, spell components, and basic Equipment) - Three uncommon magic items - One rare item - Normal Starting Equipment Backstories (If you wish to have them for oneshots, they are not required) can be however long you wish, preferably not more than 2 paragraphs. A google doc, word doc, or however you wish to write it, long as is it pinned in our personal DMs for me to revisit should I need to. For HP you may take the average or roll for it. I allow rerolls on 1s and 2s
