About the adventure

Where were you when The heroes of Midnight City fell? Everyone across North America witnessed the fall. Either from news station, or the internet. Within 24 hours Midnight City was without a hero. It has been 10 years since then, and life in Midnight city continues on. Sure the police are near powerless, and any emerging "Hero" is put down quick by the Cabal of Villainy, but you aren't an alone Hero in this city. You are 1 part of a Superhero team, which means you may have a chance to save the city. Midnight Crisis is a superhero sandbox game using the D&D 5e system and the supplement "Superpowered 5e" (S5E) (Which I will provide) you will take on the role of a super hero and take on your own Rogue Gallery of villians in this fully customized campaign. You will be taking back sectors of the city, exploring supervillain lairs, Thwarting rivals, all while still trying to maintain a normal life. It's Dungeons and Dragons with a modern twist. Rules are easy to pick up and character builds of all kinds are encouraged. Make the superhero of your choice! The Setting and theme is more aligned with late 90s and early 00s comic series. Colorful yet gritty characters, The game will go from level 1 to 20. and the focus is on You the character, we will delve into YOU and YOUR backstories. This Game is for you if! -You like Comic books, or Superhero TV shows, Movies -You like Dungeons and dragons. -You want to play a superhero game with smooth character creation, -You envisioned punching someone through a wall or into a car -You wish you had a secret identity. -Over the top high octane combat full of Chaos. -Have a bunch of useless Superhero knowledge. About me

I'm the permanent DM/GM by choice...there I said it and I am damn proud of it too! I've been playing TTRPGs since I was 15, I've been running them since I was 20, Im now Old as a stubborn dwarf...ok I'm in my mid 30s but still I've got about 2535hrs in game time...at least, and Talo's knows how many hours prepping. I'm a modern day Bard. I like to tell stories.I put in more "work" into DMing than my real job. whether it is honing my voice acting, to dungeon building, to trying to master dramatic scenes and improv, or just coming up with awesome hooks and adventures for people to get up to. GMing is my creative output.

Epiccory does a fantastic job. He makes sure everyone is involved and runs a smooth game. He created his entire world (no boxed games) and allows the players the ability to become as creative with their characters as they want. All of the NPCs are thought out and with many custom graphics and backgrounds. Would recommend his games to anyone interested in playing, good for beginners and vets alike.

I'm fortunate to be something of a veteran of D&D now, and getting off to a start with EpicCorey has been great. Everyone's excited to see where we go and he's been very accommodating of our plans for the game and for our characters. "I can make it work," is his favorite saying and he's shown it more than once.

Corey was a great GM. I would highly recommend his games, he obviously put in a lot of effort. He made npcs come to life, helped a group of players new to the system (Call of Cthulhu) work through making a character and doing a soft launch, and has a lot of experience with both virtual tabletop and the rules set. If you are ever considering joining a startplaying games game online, I can't suggest strongly enough that you give Corey a try. I'm certainly looking forward to investigating more with him!

Very fun GM. I'm currently in a cyberpunkRed campaign with him. He adepts well to the groups decisions isn't completely bound by the rules. His games are very entertaining and challenging.

If I could select every tag to review Corey, I would! He took my GF and I into a system we were wholly unfamiliar with. With his patience and knowledge we are able to flourish and express our passion for roleplaying in the worlds he designs. I would join every single one of his games if I had the time and money! Highly recommend, 11/10, A++, SSS Rank

Character creation
Creating your character

During session 0 we will make characters step by step, I will provide the book and walk you through the building process in game and in foundry.

The current party

The Supergroup consists of - A snowboarding Ice Elementalist - A Golden haired Flying powerhouse - A timid Doctor with flying Drones - special ops shadow in the night

What to expect
Preparing for the session

scour through the book when provided, and come up with a rough character concept. it can be as simple as I want to make a Batman like character. to as in depth as you want getting into what kind of powers you have.

What Epic Corey brings to the table

I will bring the VTT, sounds/music, rulebooks, voices, pictures and all the bells and whistles. Rule of cool is my main focous I know the rules but rather than bog down the game looking for a specific rule, we keep going. I am pretty knowlegable on comics in general and have a great understanding of the content. My DM style I call "riding the chaos" no matter where you take the story I am right there ready for any crazy thing you come up with. my Improv skills are good enough to allow you to forge your own path.
