Pokemon Curse: Curse of the Frostmaiden

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

Hello I'm Renji a Dungeon Master, I've been running games for a 6-7 years now and am looking for players for a new Adventure! I'm currently Starting this Homebrew Icewindale Campaign, which i call Pokemon curse: Curse of the Frostmaiden! (Yes it has Pokemon, but its not a Pokemon TTRPG) It's a pay to play only 20$ to enter, and you will get a fun experience, with music, and custom maps! I run a strict no Murder Hobo games, but my games are also new player ready. My games are Saturdays at 12:00pm PST every week unless work has me doing a late shift, which dosnt happen often. How i run my games are i do Balance of Role-play and Combat, with a Focus on Exploration and Survival. I am Lenient on the rules, and focus on more Rule of Cool style games. These Games use Milestone to Progress, so i will be pulling the character thru story and combat situations that make the game feel like a proper story. For player amount, to start the game ill need at least 4 players but my max is 6 players per campaign. I have Several campaigns being run right now, and all the players enjoy the games, has i truly do focus on the fun aspect of story telling. Don't Be Intimidated by the pay-to-play aspect of this game, it will help me bring in custom music, custom maps, and custom art for each campaign. I use Roll20 for the VTT, dndBeyond for the character sheets, and Discord for voice and to form a small community. i Run my games from 3-4 hours a session, maybe longer if the story demands it! and if anybody is interested in using a homebrew Race, or class, just let me look it over and ill most likely accept it, has long as its not broken. We will do a Session 0 to make sure all players have their character sheets ready, and we will get to know each other better. I promise ill try my best to make this campaign worth the money you spent on joining it! If your interested or want to know more just message me. Thank you for your time! So my campaign Premise is, 100 years ago in Faerun a giant purple and gold Rift opened over the Moonshine Ilse, from that rift beams of bright golden light shoot out from it landing in different places around the World of Faerun. In these areas where the light struck, purple galaxy like Crystals formed, and with it strange new creatures show. These creatures still unknown to the residents of this world, panic, at them, as these creatures cause mayhem across the globe. Things start to settle after 100 years and now it's the time of Reclamation and knowledge, archmages of different cities send out parties of adventurers to go and investigate these creatures, and study them, either by observing them, killing, them or taming them. Professor Magnolia from Candlekeep sent out Invites to adventurers to study these creature around the area of Icewindale and possibly while Running around they can help the city's with their problems. Thank you so much for your time!

Game style

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Sandbox / Open World

In "Sandbox" or "Open World" games, players are given a tremendous amount of freedom to pursue their stories without the restrictions of a more linear game style. Players are encouraged to explore and engage with the world, and find their own story as they do so. These games offer the players the opportunity to help drive the narrative, and allow for the story to evolve organically through the choices they make.

Combat Heavy

“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
