About the adventure
Imagine a dark and dangerous world beneath the surface, called the Underdark. The D&D adventure "Out of the Abyss" throws your characters into this strange place as prisoners. Your first goal is to escape! But your adventure doesn't end there. You'll soon discover a terrifying problem: powerful demon lords are starting to invade the entire world! Even though you just escaped, you might be called upon to become leaders and fight back against these overwhelming threats. It's a desperate situation where the fate of the world hangs in the balance. This adventure has two main parts. The first part focuses on survival – finding food, water, and staying safe in the hostile Underdark. The second part is more like a classic fantasy story where you and your fellow adventurers try to stop a seemingly unstoppable evil. Just a heads-up: this adventure can be quite dark and intense. Your characters might even experience madness! It's a challenging story, but if you're brave enough, you'll be part of an epic struggle to save the world. Don't worry too much though, it's all part of the fun of playing D&D!

How to prepare
You'll need a working mic, camera is optional. Discord and DnDBeyond accounts needed. Have a decent understanding of the rules already will help, but vast experience is definitely not necessary!
What I provide
I will provide all necessary source material through content sharing on DnDBeyond and a Discord server to play through. We will use DnDBeyond Maps when appropriate and Theater of the Mind otherwise. I lean toward Rule of Cool but firmly planted in what's written as well. The goal is to have fun and tell a story! I will try to include audio/music but I'm still learning to incorporate all of that so bear with me! Beginners welcome!
Gameplay details
We will go over most content expectations during session 0 and discuss any major potential issues. I will also have a basic questionnaire to fill out about playstyle and such. Open Door policy. If anything comes up during a session, mute/camera off, send me a message, anything at all to get my attention and I will stop the session to address the concern right then.

How will character creation work
We will create characters together during session 0, but have an idea beforehand if possible. We will use 2024 rules + Tasha and Xanathar. Other 3rd party content may be available as well. Starting at level 1, point buy or standard array for stats.
