About the adventure
Something strange is happening to your hometown of Willowshore! Nestled on the banks of a river winding through the legendary Specterwood in Tian Xia’s haunted land of Shenmen, the people of Willowshore are no strangers to supernatural threat, but the danger that comes to town on the first day of summer is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Over the four seasons to come, you and your fellow home-grown heroes must face evil spirits, sinister fiends, and frightening curses, lest the town of Willowshore succumb to the Season of Ghosts! A level 1-12 weekly campaign in the high fantasy environment of Pathfinder's Golarion!

Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

When I have the time and money I can't think of a better way to spend either than in one of Matt's games. Dude is a machine, and the most easy-going and supportive of player fun and agency I've played with: you want a rare feat? You got it. You want help understanding the VTT or your job better? He's there. Even hosting multiple games with loads of different players, he can tell you about every one of them and what they're up to. This guy really has passion and cares about giving everyone the best experience possible.
I'm currently in two games of Matt's, and they're, without a doubt, the best games I've had as far as any tabletop rpg goes. I came in not knowing how to play PF2E, and Matt helped me learn the system while keeping the game going smooth enough for other players that had more experience. He's very accommodating when it comes to characters builds, offering advice or ideas to help spark something, as well as helping out if something isn't working to ensure you're having a good time. He makes use of numerous amounts of Forge modules to keep the game running smoothly and provide ambience & visuals for what's going on, like assistance with Thaumaturge's Exploit Vulnerability or Swashbuckler's Panache. It makes for a very pleasant experience, personally. I'd recommend Matt to anyone looking to have a good campaign. He doesn't disappoint.

How to prepare
Make sure you have a microphone (webcam is optional), and have corresponded with me before hand to get access to the discord server for voice communication. Reading the relevant player guide before hand helps for pre-session zero prep if needed.

- Session zero: Discussing campaign guidelines, my GMing style, finalizing characters and stories relative to the game world, group introduction & cohesion, along with possibly getting into the story a bit! I am very active on both Start Playing and my discord server, so feel free to ask questions, chat with me, and hang out with your fellow group members! I have a varied GM game-play approach, focusing on all pillars of TTRPG's and making sure that it feels like we are getting something done every session! :)

How will character creation work
There are two steps to this process, one that happens during our session zero and beyond, and the player prep before session zero. Before session zero, you should read the player's guide to your relevant adventure, presented as a free download on paizo.com and also pinned in the campaign info chat in the discord server if you'd like, or correspond with me for help with character concepts and implementation. Then please build a character on pathbuilder2e.com and submit the completed character link to the me (Share Copy of Character). During the zero and onwards, I will walk everyone through on how to prepare your blank character sheet to match your completed sheet from pathbuilder2e.com via in-game tools with Foundry.
