About the adventure
Imagine a spooky and mysterious place called Barovia. This D&D adventure, "Curse of Strahd," feels like stepping into a gothic horror story, where danger can be hiding anywhere, and things can get scary fast! In Barovia, the sun never comes out, the people who live there are always afraid, and strange, creepy monsters roam the dark woods. All of this is controlled by a powerful and evil vampire lord named Count Strahd von Zarovich. He's a legendary villain with no soul, and he rules Barovia with a cruel hand. "Curse of Strahd" is an exciting adventure that mixes exploring a strange land, solving mysteries, and facing tough challenges. It's great for players who want a more intense and atmospheric story. To survive the scary things you'll encounter, you'll need to be smart, brave, and work together with your fellow adventurers. As you explore, you might find powerful magical items and team up with the few brave people who are trying to fight back against Strahd. Eventually, you'll need to prepare for a final showdown with the vampire lord in his creepy castle, Ravenloft. Are you ready to enter this dark and dangerous place?

How to prepare
You'll need a working mic, camera is optional. Discord and DnDBeyond accounts needed. Have a decent understanding of the rules, but vast experience is definitely not necessary! New players are definitely welcome!
What I provide
I will provide all necessary source material through content sharing on DnDBeyond and a Discord server to play through. We will use DnDBeyond Maps when appropriate and Theater of the Mind otherwise. I lean toward Rule of Cool but firmly planted in what's written as well. The goal is to have fun and tell a story! I will try to include audio/music but I'm still learning to incorporate all of that so bear with me!
Gameplay details
We will go over as much about expectations as we can during a session 0. Players may take a break at any time during the session as needed. If any concerns arise, simply turn your mic/camera off and send me anything to get my attention. We will pause the session to address the issue then.

How will character creation work
We will go through character creation together during the session 0, although players are more than welcome to pitch ideas beforehand. Starting at level 1 Point Buy or Standard Array for stats 2024 rules + Tasha/Xanathar's. Other 3rd party material may be possible.
