Deep within the grim and infinite twilight of the Plane of Shadow lay the tattered realms of horror.; the scattered Darklords of Ravenloft. Each and every one the unquestioned power of their domain, yet equally unaware that they are all but pawns in a greater passion play. There are unseen and dark powers at work within the mists that separarte the Domains of Dread; an entity, or perhaps many, at work creating these baleful prisons for some of the greatest evils to walk mortal realms. Is there intent behind what they've created? Or an innate malice manifesting itself through the Shadowfell? Only a madman would seek such answers out willingly... and yet here you are.

About me
I've always been drawn to storytelling of all sorts, and as such running games from D&D5e to Blades in the Dark has become a very natural extension of that. My goal in my games is to provide a fun and immersive experience first and foremost; I feel that the narrative belongs to the players, and my job is to build the world in which you tell your story.

I have played with many DMs, and DMed myself for many players and I still say with utmost certainty that Chris is an amazing DM who deserves far more praise than I can give in this message. He creates very interesting encounters, backed by hyper detailed lore of his world. He also creates the perfect scenarios to spread your roleplaying wings. I could not recommend him more.
Chris is a super friendly person and a great DM. He builds interesting worlds, mysteries, and characters to interact with, weaving player characters into it to maintain a good balance between prepared story and player goals and agency, while keeping fun as the top priority. He runs a safe table and is open to player input and creativity, only drawing lines where he really needs to. If you're looking for a game where roleplay and your characters are the focal points, look no further than Chris.
He makes it about the players and their characters. I know this sounds like something that’s to be expected but he does it perfectly. I joined his game a little into the campaign but holy moly he made me feel like we had been friends for year! He made everything feel easy. And don’t get me started on how good his people skills are. If you’re in Chris’ game, you know you’re gonna be around people that think like you. He’s just great at finding the right people.
An amazing GM, I've played with him for the past year in two different campaigns within his homebrew setting. He puts so much thought into his world-building and integrating each character into the story and the desires of every player. He is also just the kindest person you could ever meet in general. Wonderful at listening to and respecting each and every person he plays with. He is entertaining and creative and has an amazing voice and plays fun and interesting NPCs, all around it's just very obvious that he cares incredibly deeply for the story that we all make together and you would be super lucky to have him as a DM.
Character creation
Creating your character
Characters will begin at level 3 with one additional feat to begin with. We will begin character creation during session 0 within Foundry VTT, but finalization should be done before the first session. Characters can be created collaboratively as a party or independently. Finer details for stats and equipment will be addressed during Session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have a mic and Discord account for voicechat as well as a forge-vtt account in order to access Foundry for all gameplay elements. Players need not have a character prepared in advance, but if you have a character in mind feel free to bring them to the table to see if they will be a good fit for the game.
What Chris (Super Sargasso) brings to the table
I will be providing Foundry VTT for the entire group which will have all necessary amenities for gameplay as well as additions to heighten immersion such as music, added gameplay modules, and maps. I will also be providing a selection of pre-approved homebrew options for players (races, classes, spells, etc.) as well as optional homebrew mechanics (rules for training, crafting, etc.) for those who may be interested in them.

How Chris (Super Sargasso) creates a safe table
Session 0 will include a summary of the overall gameplay and pacing, character creation information, an explanation of any and all houserules, and going over any and all boundaries that will be set for the comfort and safety of the group during play. I prioritize communication over anything else, so I will be maintaining an open dialogue in regard to any content that would be preferred to be avoided form the outset or at any point during the duration of the campaign. I maintain an environment of no judgement, so if at any point gameplay needs to stop for the comfort of any participant we will take a break and either as a group or privately discuss the circumstances and address them with no hesitation. In addition to requested breaks I will also have one mandatory 15 min. break in or around the midpoint of every session.
