Blood of the Alliance | Star Wars: Age of Rebellion
Star Wars RPG by Fantasy Flight Games | Campaign
About the adventure
A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away... The Death Star is no more. Against all odds, the Rebel Alliance has destroyed the Empire's planet destroying super-weapon by means of a handful of courageous starfighters. And despite the Empire's greatest efforts, news of the heroic victory begins to spread from the Core Worlds to the Outer Rim. But Alliance leaders understand that the war is far from won. The Emperor's wrath is sure to be swift and decisive, and the Rebels will need to work just as quickly to make use of the precious momentum they have attained. Will they be a beacon of hope for the galaxy? Or merely another band of idealistic fools who dared challenge the Imperial Machine? Note: This campaign will begin with the "Permealian Haul" introductory adventure and then transition to a homebrew campaign.
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

How to prepare
All players will need a working mic to play through zoom. A working camera is optional. You will also need to create a rpgsessions.com account to use for the game. Session 0 is free for all players regardless of when they join. Please come with at least two character concepts in mind in case there is any idea overlaps between players. Please wait until we meet to fill in your stats. Please review the basics of character creation and the game system beforehand so you have an idea how to play. You don't need to be an expert to join, just have some idea of how gameplay works. Even if you don't own any of the books, there are a lot of guides online and on YouTube which can help you learn. Tabletop Empire is a great place to start. We will also spend the session discussing safety tools for the campaign, including lines and veils. Please consider what topics you would prefer to limit or omit from the game.
What I provide
I consider myself as a plot focused GM who most enjoys incorporating my players' characters into the story in fun and dramatic ways. As for combat, my goal is to make your character look cool, though not without some occasional risk for the sake of enjoyable challenge. In general I try to run games as close to Rules as Written as possible but am willing to accommodate the occasional Rule of Cool request. Fun is always the first priority. I am not a professional voice actor and outside of the occasional important or occasional NPC, expect most of my characters to sound the same. Part of the reason why we are using zoom is because I can easily share Spotify audio while we play. Music is a very important part of TTRPGs to me and I find it to be a fantastic way to immerse yourself into the story. This is an LGBTQIA+ friendly game. Characters will not be discriminated against based on their gender identity or sexual orientation by PCs or NPCs. Please keep all discussions of religion and politics from the game.
Gameplay details
First official meetup will be a session 0 where we will establish the characters everyone will play and set expectations for the rest of the campaign. Should a spot open up, the new player will be invited to their own session 0 that will cover the same topics. Anyone who can are encouraged to join even if they are not making characters.

How will character creation work
Each of the species in the core rulebooks are allowed. Species beyond those will need to be reviewed and cleared by me. Please try to stick to Fantasy Flight Games official releases. We will not be using Jedi characters in the game, though you are allowed to dip into the Force-Sensitive Emergent career from the Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook. The campaign will begin a few months following the Battle of Yavin. With that context in mind, consider whether your character is a veteran of the Alliance or a fresh recruit.
