About the adventure
🌍 March 1921 – Peru. A forgotten ziggurat. A cursed expedition. Augustus Larkin needs professionals like you for an adventure into the highlands. Fame and fortune await — or madness and death. Rain and... other fluids slick the ground where prehistoric gods bleed into colonial sin. He says it's a once-in-a-lifetime discovery. He’s not telling you the whole truth. I don’t run games. I curate collective nightmares. You will find yourself in immersive investigation, personal horror, and historical atmosphere. Unreliable reality: NPCs lie. Artifacts betray. You’ll never know who serves the Chaos. 💀 A dark force stirs beneath the earth. 🌒 Cults plot across the globe. 🧠 Secrets lie in wait for those brave-or foolish-enough to seek them. Embark on a sweeping, cinematic Call of Cthulhu campaign spanning 5 continents. You must unravel a chilling mystery where personal demons melt into cosmic horror. Your character’s deepest regrets will be weaponized by the Crawling Chaos. This isn’t just survival; it’s a fight for your soul against a god who feeds on humanity's flaws. Beginner-friendly, but the Mythos pulls no punches. 🎲 Award-winning horror campaign, renowned as one of the best ever written 🔍 New player–friendly, with support for experienced investigators 🏳️🌈 Inclusive, welcoming environment 💬 Dedicated Discord for downtime chatter, questions, and character building Seats are limited. Sanity is not guaranteed. 🧳 Join the expedition. Uncover the truth. Stop the end of the world.

About me
I've been addicted to actual plays for years, captivated by the dynamic story economy—writer-players are deeply invested in THEIR character; driving the narrative in unexpected ways. My approach will not be about seeing your characters succeed, or to tell you a on-rails story. I aim to put your character to into Ş̷̇ ̶̜͂I̸̥͎̐ ̸̥͉̃̈́T̶̼̗̏ ̴͇̼͗͠U̷̩̇͋ ̵̰̿͝Ą̴̫̂ ̴̃͛T̸̙͋ ̴̲̝͆͠Ḯ̴̢̲ ̴̢̓̇O̴̡͕̿͝ ̶͈͗̍N̵̳̦̄ ̶̪̙̽Ṣ̷̂ Lack of training and skill in voice acting can be made up with via enthusiasm... right? Join me in crafting adventures where your characters live, breathe, and grow! (possibly into horrible flesh monsters, to be determined)

Creating your character
You can contact me on Discord, and I'll set up the Virtual Tabletop for you to build your character. However, you can also use the "dholeshouse" character builder Skills Cap Options: max 75 This is the website where you can build your character, however I also have a step-by-step investigator wizard in my virtual tabletop. Most players have chosen to build their character during the session 0 https://www.dholeshouse.org/Characters/CoCv7Investigators/CreateNewPointBuy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ensure your investigator is the type of person for whom international travel will not be too much of a challenge, the ability to travel to Peru and other locations is essential. Some ideas: Knowledgeable types: Antique Dealer, Archaeologist, Author, Clergy, Doctor, Historian, Journalist, Linguist, Missionary, Museum Curator, Occultist, Scientist. Expedition guides and security: Big Game Hunter, Boxer/ Wrestler, Explorer, Mechanic, Military officer/Soldier, Sailor, Mountain Climber, Outdoorsman, Translator. Aids and assistants: Butler/Valet/Maid, Photographer, Researcher, Secretary, Student, Bodyguard. Those seeking an escape: Criminal, Dilettante, Gentleman/Lady. • Those seeking inspiration: Actor, Artist, Musician, Missionary, Occultist. Useful skills: Archaeology, Disguise, First Aid, History, Library Use, Listen, Locksmith, Mechanical Repair, Natural World, Navigate, Occult, Psychology, Science (Biology, Engineering, Physics), Social skills (Charm, Fast Talk, Intimidate, Persuade), Spot Hidden, Stealth, Throw, as well as Fighting (Brawl) and the odd Firearms skill. Language skills can also be very useful, but don’t forget that translators, guides, and other specialists can be hired in all the campaign’s locations. If the investigators lack a certain essential skill, expertise can usually be found for a price, such as safecracking (Locksmith) or sailing (Pilot), as well as seeking out healing (First Aid, Medicine, and Psychoanalysis) from a local hospital, doctor, or wise person (if in more rural locales).
We have just had our group session 0: we will be having our first session on May 25th! A Campaign in 7 Chapters. This is an eldritch marathon not for the the impatient. Estimated 9-15 Sessions per chapter (75-85 Sessions). With such a long playtime characters are welcome to join at any point - but right now is the best time to join and get 100% of this classic campaign. My current plan is to stick as close as possible to the book. However my GM philosophy ranks player agency very highly, so if things can very much go to R'lyeh in a handbasket This is a classic style game, not pulp, but some adjustments to increase survivability will be made, however, your investigators will sometimes die and/or go insane. Group's table lines: Romance: Feel free to romance any NPCs. We will avoid inter-player character romantic tension for now :) Physical intimacy max at PG: any scenes will face to black The isms: We are not going to have any player characters that have (racist, sexist, homophobic) as a character flaw. You may still encounter NPCs with these traits. Call of Cuthulu being what it is, disabling injuries, self-harm, and suicice may very occasionally come up. We won't dwell on these though. We're going to avoid the topic of sexual assault altogether.
What to expect

What Isaac "Achoobert" brings to the table
📜 All official Call of Cthulhu rules and resources 🎙️ Private Discord server for voice chat and game notes 🗺️ Maps and tokens 😊 A friendly, professional environment in and out of game I have succeeded in a session when all the players are worried and concerned ಠ_ಠ
Homebrew rules
Pulp luck: each character has a pool of 'luck points' they can use to modify their rolls. I will add in other pulp rules as the campaign continues, to give a sense of progression and 'leveling up' When your character has their big developmental moment you will unlock your first Pulp talent. We will work on understanding when that is together.

How Isaac "Achoobert" creates a safe table
There are certain themes that are central to the text and cannot be avoided. Call of Cthulhu games generally play on themes of body horror and mental illness. Anyone wishing to discuss triggers may get with me privately over Discord or SPG. For any situation you find too stressful, simply go AFK for as long as you require. My games are the equivalent of a PG-13 movie. I don't do explicit sexual content, but I may allude to it. Tabletop role-playing games are meant to be an escape from the troubles of our daily lives. Above-table prejudices, including racism, misogyny, homophobia and transphobia are NOT acceptable at my table and will lead to your immediate removal.
