Avalon: The Deralys Curse
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
The Deralys family, a criminal group that operates in the city of Avalon in the Delgan empire has recently come under pressure from the 3 fey lords. They’ve demanded that the family stop cursing random citizens of the city as there have been nobles dying by rotting from the inside, growing bones from their eyes or even worse, having their blood turn to molten metal slowly, and these are only some of the cases of death. Normally the family would stop it’s activities, however they cannot, as they are not the cause of the curses, and so, seeing as this is important for the future of the Deralys family, each of the leading members of the family have sent out several groups of people to find the source of this curse, and deal with it as soon as possible. You all have been chosen by your leader, Seath Deralys to do the same, and if you cannot produce results, then you will be added to his deck of soulbound cards. Can you find out what's really going on and stop this from becoming a war within the city? Use your wits and charisma to extract what's really going on from the local gangs, fey and mages, and your blade to cut down those who defy you!
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

How to prepare
Just grab your snacks and drinks and come on by! All you need is discord and we can take care of everything else at the table!
What I provide
I bring a theatre of the mind style game with maps used for combat, other maps are for the feel of the game, i want my players to have as much freedom as they can so any interaction with the world is individual to each player. I never have only one way to solve things, try, expiriment and see what happens! I use roll20 for all my stuff^^
Gameplay details
Hey there, and thank you for taking the time to read this far^^ So, i do a free session 0 where we talk and discuss some basic charcter stuff, and afterwards i give my game rules as well as my table rules, and ofc you're free to ask about them if you have any questions! After that i like to talk to my players about their expectations and i will (to the best of my ability) remove anything that they don't want in the game, you're also free to tell me in DMs what you don't want to see and i will remove it from the game. MOST IMPORTANTLY. i will not tell anyone who wants what removed from the game, if you ask why i'm avoiding something i will say that a player's dosen't want to see it, i will not say who even if you ask me.
