Divided Minds: A Severance Themed Kids on Bikes Campaign
Kids on Bikes | Campaign
About the adventure
Welcome to the Lumon Industries Severed Floor. Your work self and your home self are now separate—two minds, one body, divided by a contract you don’t remember signing. Inside the office, you have a purpose, a team, and a job that makes something happen. Outside, your other half lives a life you’ll never know. But something is wrong. Strange messages appear in reports. Employees vanish without a trace. Your reflection lingers just a second too long. The deeper you dig, the more the walls close in. Do you accept your reality? Or will you risk everything to uncover the truth? THIS IS A SEVERANCE THEMED CAMPAIGN USING THE KIDS ON BIKES RULESET
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

As a player in one of Squirrel’s Descent into Avernus Games and many of their various one-shots, I just need to finally sit down and write this overdue review of their GM-ing. Squirrel is one of the best GM’s I’ve ever had in my now 6 ish years of tabletop gaming. I’ve been both GM and player for those years so I feel qualified enough to praise their work from both angles. As a player, I love how Squirrel is patient with those that have less experience in the game, willing to explain or wait to let other players explain confusing concepts to a confused player. They have a good grasp on the rules of DND5e, and when mechanical edge cases come up, they are very good at making fair rulings that keep the game flowing well, and revising said rulings for longer term play. As a GM, I am very impressed with their ability to pace a session very cleanly. Almost none of our sessions have run more than a few minutes long, and we always have a well timed break that doesn’t disrupt the flow of the game. In addition to all that, their ability to create atmosphere is incredible. Squirrel has a well stocked soundboard of special effects that enhance the narrations that they give, and they have music playing that is updated to match the mood of the game. Not only that, the music is optional to listen to, as the Bot they use to play it can be volume controlled for each individual player, so those that find it distracting can choose to simply use Squirrel’s immersive descriptions to visualize the game world. I know this review is long overdue, but I would hate to lose the opportunity to let anyone who is interested in Squirrel’s games know that you will 100% get your money’s worth if you book with them.
Squirrel is a bright cheery soul and a rising voice actor with a wide range of octaves and accents. Squirrel had a wide pallet of both music and maps integrated into Discord and Roll 20. The dice twisted the adventure in wonderous ways and the rules were readily explained and or adapted to keep the story on track.

How to prepare
You will need to have/bring: -A Microphone and Discord Downloaded -A Roll20 account -A Webcam (If you would like to use video, but this isn't required) -A Positive Attitude and a BIG Smile :D
What I provide
As your GM, I bring a variety of tools to each of my games. Aside from the typical stuff (Roll20, Discord and DNDBeyond), I also really enjoy bringing NPCs to life with different personalities and voices, as well as a constant ambient backtrack to make you really feel immersed in the world. When it comes to rulings, I like to read the table. If the table wants a hardcore RAW experience then we will stick to the rules as they were written, but if the table is looking to kick back and have fun then I'm totally here for it! Rules are only as fun as we at the table make them. Lastly, when you're playing at my table, pack extra smiles and be prepared to HAVE FUN!
Gameplay details
When it comes to player safety and comfort nothing is more important, which is why during every session zero I make sure to ask my players about their limits by doing a quick check in about each players triggers and Xs or Ns, letting them know any content warnings that may be present in the adventure and informing them about my open door, break and debrief policies. Players are also welcome at any time to either take breather or a break from the game, and at no point will they ever be asked to go into detail about ANYTHING they may not be comfortable with. Also, while the game is going on, if at any point a player needs content to stop immediately, they may hold up an X/N or type one in chat. This will allow me to make the necessary moves needed to make sure everyone continues to have a great time playing! Lastly, I am a huge believer in debriefing/aftercare. At the end of each session I will always hang around for anywhere between 15-30 minutes to chat about the session and to just generally hang out with anyone who wants to stick around! This is great for sessions where we may get into some heavier content so we can either discuss it or unpack it if need be! Remember, your comfort and your fun come first!
