How to prepare

Here’s what you’ll need to get started: 🎧 A working mic is required — no webcam required, but feel free to use one if you'd like. 🖥️ A stable internet connection and a desktop or laptop computer (Foundry doesn't play well with mobile, sorry!). 🧙 A free D&D Beyond account — character creation will happen there, with content sharing enabled once you join. 💬 A free Discord account is required — we'll use it for voice chat and pre-session coordination. 🧩 No need to read the rules ahead of time — I’ll guide you through anything you need to know. 🎲 Please have your character ready before the session (or let me know if you'd like to use a pre-gen or need help creating one). 🌐 No additional downloads required — Foundry VTT runs in your browser, and I’ll provide a link before the session.

🎲 Foundry VTT — Beautiful, streamlined online play with custom maps, visual effects, and immersive tools. 📚 D&D Beyond Content Sharing — Create or import your character with full access to official 5e 2024 materials. 🎵 Ambient Music & Soundscapes — Atmospheric audio through Foundry to enhance the mood without being distracting. 🧙‍♀️ Character Voices & Expressive NPCs — I bring characters to life through voice, tone, and distinct personality. ⚔️ Cinematic Combat — Tactical when it matters, but always focused on fun and flow. Rule of Cool is welcome. ✨ Player-Focused Style — I adapt the tone and pacing to the table. Whether you're a first-time adventurer or a veteran, you'll get moments to shine.

Gameplay details

This game uses a digital X, N, and O card module built into Foundry VTT, so players can check in, pause, or flag content privately and easily at any time. We’ll go over Lines and Veils at the start of the session to make sure everyone feels comfortable, and I’ll also check in with a quick Stars and Wishes debrief at the end for aftercare and feedback. Breaks are always available on request, and players are welcome to message me privately at any time—before, during, or after the game. My goal is to create a welcoming, respectful table where everyone can have fun and feel safe.

How will character creation work

This is a one-shot adventure for 3rd-level characters using the D&D 5e 2024 ruleset. 🧙‍♂️ Create your character before the session using D&D Beyond (content sharing will be enabled after you join). 🎲 Ability scores: Use Standard Array or Point Buy—your choice. 📘 Allowed Content: • All non-legacy, non-playtest official WOTC material is approved for use, unless otherwise specified. • If you’d prefer to use the legacy version of something (instead of the 2024 version), just shoot me a DM and we can talk about it! • All optional class and species features are available. 🧰 Characters will be imported into Foundry before the game. I’m happy to help with setup or character creation if needed! If you’re new to character creation or want to use a pre-generated character, I’ve got options ready to go.
