Dice is a very flexible game master, happy to incorporate the ideas and desires of his players into the game at large. He tells a larger-than-life story that harkens to familiar themes and concepts, as well as uses callbacks to events and NPC's in the world that the PC's have interacted with. By and large, Dice is inventive, clever, and not afraid to let things happen beyond what might have been expected. He is a story driven, mechanics-oriented Gamemaster who strives to make his players time enjoyable, memorable, and fun. I would certainly recommend his games to both novice and veteran players.
Hard to work with, authoritarian, and straight up aggressive. Yelled at myself and another player so aggressively his mic peaked. The other player removed themselves from the session because they were uncomfortable to carry on. In my experience, this DM plays with favortism, as well as takes petty grievances for out of game issues out on players, to which at least 2 other people can attest to. I felt that again when in the session he broke the lines and veils he initiated by mentioning suicide and asking if my character was considering it. Its not the first time: as when he discovered a player was using AI art, to which this DM never specified he was against or didnt want around and refused to communicate this with anyone involved (requiring players to piece this information together like a school kid parsing out emojies from a distant crush) the DM abruptly left the session and when he came back did not acknowledge it. In fact, he usually refuses to acknowledge his part in any negative occurance during his sessions. What really gagged me was when he yelled at me and another player, after we had finished our roleplay together and been quiet with nearly 30 seconds of dead air. I asked if we could move on to someone else, to which he replied snarkily, and when i responded that i hadnt said anything, he yelled and peaked out his mic, causing one player to leave for the evening and for me to feel bad enough to be quiet for the majority of a 3 hour session i paid to be in. During our feedback section at the end of session, i commented how i didnt like being yelled at. He apologized, but took very little accountability citing he found himself in a bad mood and his heartrate was elevated, then he immediately backtracked and laid the blame at my feet for "being an 11 out of 10" which feels backhanded as hell. Shortly after, the table dropped sequentially until he removed the game posting. I would think twice about this DM as his games have a tendency to railroad, stunt creativity, and target a player personally rather than in the spirit of the game. Unfun and unfriended.

Gameplay details
Before session zero, I'll be private messaging all the players one-on-one to discuss Lines & Veils. Our first session will be a free session zero, wherein we will make introductions, review Lines & Veils, and create characters. At the end of every session, I will run through "Roses, Thorns, and Buds", allowing players to present positive and negative feedback about the game along with suggestions to make the game more enjoyable in the future. This game takes place in the 1940s, but I do not wish to reinforce the biases that the 1940s reflected in history and in fiction. While NPCs may espouse prejudiced beliefs (who doesn't love punching Nazis?), those beliefs will invariably be treated as ignorant at best and truly evil at worst. Moreover, your heroes are expected to be above such backwards beliefs. I hold a zero tolerance policy towards racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other such biases in players. Display of such behaviors will result in an immediate kick.
