About the adventure
A century ago the sun turned black and many gods mysteriously disappeared from the realm, no one is fully sure as to why or how but now the realm is shrouded in everlasting darkness. The only hint as to if it is day or night is if the large black sun is faintly visible in the sky. Under the everlasting darkness the undead are empowered and the dead are animated with unholy energies, while long lasting spells are quickly corroded. Once per month the moon grows to its full size and becomes dyed red signaling the beginning of the blood moon driving any fiend or undead exposed to it into a frenzy. Each remaining town is run by a singular noble who maintain large powerful beacons which draw in magical energy from the earth and are fueled by special oils produced from rare Eclipse flowers to produce enough sunlight to fully cover the town to repel the dead. Recently an innovation of smaller beacons were designed, not strong enough to act as a sun but still enough to stave off the darkness without the need for fuels, these have allowed pathways of light to be constructed between these towns and allow brave adventurers to travel out between towns and possible venture into the darkness itself. Will you be one of the few to discover the secrets hidden in the dark? or will you end up like the rest, a cold rotting animated husk.

Gameplay details
RPG consent checklist will be sent after joining. Session 0 will go over character creation and some info for helping to create a backstory. Players can request 10 minute break at any point in session.

How will character creation work
We will go over character creation in a session 0 sometime before the session. The game starts at level 1 and goes all the way to level 20. Characters will be made in a provided D&D Beyond campaign with most books available. We are using Point Buy / Standard Array We are using Encumbrance, Coin Weight, Exp leveling and optional features. We are using 2014 rules not 2024 When rolling Hp you can either take average or roll, if you roll you can reroll a 1 or a 2 once per roll. The following Partnered Content is allowed: Critical Roll Grim Hollow If you want to take a feat from partnered content you must ask me first. The following races and subclasses are not available in this campaign: Aasimar Autognome Custom Lineage Plasmoid Gloomstalker Ranger Twilight Cleric Additionally you can pick a free feat from the following list given that your background does not grant a feat: Athlete Shadow Touched Chef Linguist Skilled Prodigy Weapon Master Lightly Armored Grappler
