Meet the Game Master
About me
Welcome! If you’ve reached this page, then you have reached the deep end. Don’t worry! We have cookies, tequila, and a strong possibility of making fond memories. Since I was a wee lad of dairyland, I’ve been pouring over any ttrpg tome I could get my grubby little mitts on. It mattered not if it was early dnd 3.5 or a questionable supplement of World of Darkness, I would devour its knowledge for myself. Once I reached adulthood, I was taken up on my offer to run a homebrew Wild West pathfinder campaign. It only lasted a few weeks but from then on I was hooked. I’ve been DMing for 13 years with the occasional opportunity to be a player. Everyone is welcome to my games, no exceptions. I love this hobby, and I wish to bring that love to anyone willing to try and accept it.

Creating your character
We will be having a session zero to begin with as to acquaint everyone to the Foundry VTT and its accomidations. Characters will be created using Pathbuilder and then using export codes to load them into the module. If you have ideas before session 0, that's encouraged as sometimes new players like to bounce their character ideas off of the veterans. We won't be using any extra rules such as free archetype, since I want to make this as inclusive to new players as well as veterans. Anything Uncommon rarity and below for character creation is auto allowed but anything higher than that we will discuss to see if it fits into the kind of campaign we plan to run.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
At the very least players will need to have a working mic, Discord and access to use Foundry VTT. It wouldn't hurt to have read through the player facing rules for Pathfinder 2e/Remaster but I am willing to teach as we play as well.
What Thomaturge brings to the table
We will be using the amazing Kingmaker module that was developed for Foundry VTT. This includes entirely done up maps, hundreds of hours of ambient music and many many custom tokens and set pieces for us all to enjoy. We will for the most part play rules as written, but if something really motivates or entertains our players without upsetting games balance I am willing to embrace rule of cool.

How Thomaturge creates a safe table
I’m going to run a Session Zero we’ll make characters go over triggers and see if we need to expand on the content warnings going forward. After each session we will perform aftercare. Despite the sense of adventure and tendency to lean into comedic conversation, we won't make light the troubles and themes that occur as we play.
