About the adventure
You are one of the top students at the Adventurer's Academy, and King Siegwald of Folstina has called upon you and your high ranking peers for a matter of upmost import: slaying Demon Queen Velverosa! She resides at the top of her tower in the southernmost peak of the southernmost continent, but with luxuries like portal gates you won't have to worry about travel. No, the more pressing question is how are you going to get into that tower? Isn't it crawling with demons?! You're not a professional adventurer yet, so you've never been to it yourself, but you've heard each level of the Demon Tower is occupied by a demon general, each more powerful than the last! You and your newly assembled adventuring party made up of the best academy students are utterly baffled by this request. Apparently the King has already sent the greatest adventurers in all the land to defeat her, to no avail. He's relying on you lot of inexperienced mages and sword swingers as his last line of defense against the demon horde... What could go wrong? Falling in love with the Demon Queen and her generals?! Certainly not! This fantasy setting is inspired by the webcomic Mage & Demon Queen by color_LES on Webtoon, but I am replacing the titular main character Malorie with all of you! If you haven't read the comic, don't worry about it, it isn't needed to understand the game. Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Rocky has been DMing our game for several months at this point and it has been a wonderful experience! Every session is planned and with extensive options to think outside the box to achieve our goals. Rocky even placed in an entire chariot race game just for a one off session, as well as all the additional story and character features that were introduced to their game at session zero. Everybody is accommodated and welcome, autonomy of your characters is entirely your decision and I have never felt like any of us were a bad fit. Rocky will give enough details and voice over introductions to illustrate the worlds you will inhabit and the lore bits you can either choose to pick up or move aside are always prevalent and there is a flavourful interaction on every street corner. All my respect for what Rocky does for our campaign and my gratitude for an exemplary experience for my first all-random online D&D session, it has been a ride getting to where we are and I am eager each week to see where our adventures will take us and who I will get argue with next!

How to prepare
🧠All you need is an active imagination and a working phone or computer with an internet connection (which you probably already have since you're here haha)! 🎲A pair of cute six-sided dice (or use the bot in Discord) 🔊Voice chat only! I'm not picky about mic quality as long as we can all hear and understand you. 💻We will be using Discord and Google Sheets, so please have accounts in these or make them. 📕Having read the rules would be a bonus, more for you than me, as I always love introducing new people to the game!

Gameplay details
✨Session 0 - Obligatory for all players so we can introduce ourselves and finish character creation together! It will run like full length session where I walk you through building a new character and everyone can collaborate on backstories. ✨Consent Checklist - Fill out the Google Form beforehand with checkboxes for various soft or hard triggers and topics you might want to avoid ✨Breaks - 5-15 minute breaks whenever someone chimes in that they need one ✨Open Door - Of course if anyone is feeling uncomfortable you are welcome to leave at any time and come back ✨Debriefing/Stars & Wishes - After the first few games I will check in with everyone and ask them what they think of my DM style and what things they might like changed or added.

How will character creation work
1️⃣ Fill out the Google Form once you've signed up for the game. 2️⃣ I will send you an invite to the Discord server. 3️⃣ Once you're in, we can start talking more about your character! Get the creative juices flowing, and make your character apart of the world. 4️⃣ Once we have enough players, we can schedule a Session 0! 5️⃣ During Session 0 everyone can introduce themselves and their character idea, and tweak things as needed. 6️⃣ Choose your playbook. There can only be one of each at the table. 7️⃣ Pick your stats, aesthetics, & moves 8️⃣ Determining the group's history and relationships with one another and passing out Strings ✨Yay! You made it to the fun part! It's time to play!✨
