the vampire hunter
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
🩸the vampire hunter 🩸 In the shadow of moonlit nights 🌕, when the world sleeps, the true battle begins. You are a vampire hunter a lone sentinel sworn to rid the world of the creatures that prey on the living. Armed with ancient tools, forbidden knowledge, and unyielding resolve, you traverse forgotten forests 🌲, cursed castles 🏰, and forsaken villages in pursuit of the undead. This is a campaign designed for one player, offering an intensely personal story full of danger, intrigue, and moral dilemmas. Every decision you make carries weight, shaping the fate of the world and your character’s soul. Will you remain steadfast in your mission, or will the darkness you fight begin to corrupt you?
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Combat Heavy
“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Ash was an amazing DM for me and my friend and even though it was our first time playing DnD, he was super patient and helpful through any issues we had. I would definitely recommend him as a DM for other new players that may still be learning or new to DnD like me and my friend. All in all he gave us an awesome first experience!
Ash has been an amazing DM and was very friendly to those who were new to D&D :) His games are worth the price (I'd say he deserves more, but that's my opinion) and I always look forward to every game!! If you're looking for an affordable DM and a very good time, Ash is 100% the guy I would go to everytime
Ash is great, we have been playing his homebrew campaign for a bit longer than a month now and it has been a really interesting one that relies on characters' backstories. His use of improvising creativity is what makes this campaign really fun as well as makes every character, both players' and NPC, special in their own unique way. I've only done one campaign before his, but he was very helpful with the rules and any questions I had midgame.

How to prepare
To join the game, players will need a mic for communication, as we will be using Discord for voice chat. Please ensure you have a free Roll20 account set up for the virtual tabletop, as we'll be using it for gameplay. Character creation will take place during Session Zero, so there’s no need to prepare a character beforehand. However, it’s helpful to familiarize yourself with the Point Buy system for stats and the official content available for races, classes, and backgrounds.
What I provide
I will bring everything we need for a great time! Expect immersive ambiance tailored to the theme, including dynamic visuals, light-up maps, and atmospheric soundscapes. I use **Roll20** to ensure smooth gameplay, complete with custom maps, tokens, and visual effects that bring the game to life. My GM style is all about creating a memorable experience for every player. 🛠️ What I provide: Virtual Tabletop Setup: Seamless integration with custom maps, tokens, and combat trackers via Roll20. Immersive Soundscapes: Ambient music and effects to set the tone and enhance the atmosphere. Dynamic Storytelling: A focus on player-driven choices, with rich storylines and opportunities for collaboration and creative expression.
Gameplay details
We will use safety tools including: Lines and Veils Document: Before our first session, I’ll provide a link to a shared document outlining our “Lines” (themes or content we’ll avoid entirely) and “Veils” (content we can reference lightly but won’t detail). This will give everyone a chance to voice any preferences and boundaries. Session 0: During Session 0, we’ll discuss character creation, backstories, party dynamics, and gameplay expectations. We’ll also go over the safety tools in more depth, ensuring each player knows how to use them to tailor the experience to their comfort level. Aftercare: After intense or heavy sessions, we’ll have a short debrief to check in and address any discomfort or concerns. Players are always welcome to reach out privately if there’s something they’d like to discuss further. Gameplay Details: This campaign emphasizes cooperative storytelling, giving players plenty of opportunities for exploration, combat, and role-play. Whether you're driven by the promise of treasure or the call to protect Phandalin from lurking dangers, your choices will shape the frontier and your legacy within it.

How will character creation work
We’ll begin at Level 3 with average HP rolls. All official content is allowed, including races, classes, and backgrounds from official D&D books. For backstories, we’ll work through them together during Session Zero to ensure that your character fits into the world and the narrative. This collaborative session will help us align character motivations, relationships, and any personal story arcs with the campaign’s direction. We will be using Roll20 for gameplay, but you can also use D&D Beyond for character management. Homebrew content is allowed, but please make sure to run it by me first for approval. For stats, we will be using the Point Buy system to ensure balanced characters.
