Tales from the Lone-lands - Adventures in Eriador
Fifty years before the War of the Ring, an unlikely Fellowship seeks out their destiny in the Lone-lands of Eriador.
About the adventure
Tales from the Lone-lands is a The One Ring 2e campaign following heroes as they journey through Eriador, a region of Middle-Earth home to Rivendell, Arnor, the Shire, and many other famed landmarks. You'll battle trolls, weather perilous journeys, discover long lost treasures of old, and uncover your true destiny. Will you be a man of Bree, a Ranger of the North, a Hobbit of the Shire? Will you stay true to your Company, or fall to Shadow? Getting there is only half the journey - coming back again is important, too.

About me
I've wanted to explore other worlds for as long as I've been able to speak and read. When a family friend placed a D&D manual in my tiny hands, they doomed me to a life spent in those other worlds. I don't regret a single moment spent there. I've been playing TTRPGs regularly for over twenty years now (more than half of them as an adult!), and have never gotten tired of it. Whether it's inhabiting the role of a character unlike myself or facilitating a world for other characters to trailblaze, I just can't get enough of this form of storytelling. One of my favorite parts of this hobby is watching how different people react to the circumstances of these worlds. That's why I love GMing so much - I can't wait to be surprised!

Creating your character
Once you sign on, come check out our Discord, where players will be collaboratively discussing their character concepts! We'll finalize our characters and the Company during our Session Zero! In the mean time, I will be available to anybody who has additional questions or needs additional help!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Every player will require a microphone. We'll be communicating via Discord for this campaign. We will play via FoundryVTT, which can be accessed via your web browser at no additional cost to you. If you have never used Foundry before, I will be happy to show you the ropes! Please seek out an image to represent your character - you can draw it yourself, find something online, commission an artist, etc. We'll use this image to represent you in the VTT, so be sure to pick something you'll be happy looking at for a long time! If you can't find anything, you can let me know and I will be happy to help the search.
What Simon Magnus brings to the table
I will provide FoundryVTT and all elements surrounding its use. I will be available outside of session hours to help with character creation. I will provide access to our Discord server. This will be home to our voice channel, as well as a text channel for use in our game.

How Simon Magnus creates a safe table
My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming table for people of all identities. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns about content. I am happy to keep our conversations anonymous. This table does not tolerate hate speech or harassment towards other players. This campaign will feature a session 0 to set our expectations, as well as post-mortems after each session where you'll be able to voice any concerns, ideas, or other thoughts to the rest of the party.
