The classic action-horror megadungeon! Campaign for levels 1-11.
About the adventure
First session half price! When the mysterious Gauntlight, an eerie landlocked lighthouse, glows with baleful light, the people of Otari know something terrible is beginning. The town's newest heroes must venture into the ruins around the lighthouse and delve the dungeon levels far beneath it to discover the evil the Gauntlight heralds. Hideous monsters, deadly traps, and mysterious ghosts all await the heroes who dare to enter the sprawling megadungeon called the Abomination Vaults! This campaign will bring characters from levels 1-11 as the navigate a megadungeon filled with horror and the the nearby town that it threatens. Abomination Vaults features loads of opportunities for PF2e's signature tactical combat, but also as much role-playing and creative solutions as the party brings to the table. This is a classic, high quality, old-school dungeon crawl. The possibility of character death is real. Solid tactics are necessary, and creative solutions are rewarded. The tone can be a bit dark, with decay, undeath, and body-horror aplenty, although there is some comedic relief. Sign up and conquer the Abomination Vaults!

About me
I've been GMing TTRPGs on-and-off since grade school. My early D&D obsession was formative: it gave me a love of reading, drawing, and getting up to imaginary shenanigans with friends. I also teach kids how to play D&D (Shadowdark) at a local library. I'm always upping my GM game, whether that's improving my PF2e rules knowledge, getting better at Foundry VTT, working on art for my games, or tweaking adventures so the scenarios react and make sense for my players. These days, I'm deep into publishing my first adventure for Pathfinder 2e on Foundry VTT. It's a post-apocalyptic fantasy/sci-fi adventure in a homebrew setting. As a bonus, my SPG players can try it out first with me for free, if they're into it! I play Rules as Written, but PF2e is so robust you can pretty much try anything. I will fully engage with your creativity, and I promise to do everything I can to keep you engaged and on your toes!

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Teacher
Sets the Mood
Storytelling
Jesse knows his stuff and if he doesn't he won't lie to you about. If you are just learning a system, he's a good DM to go with! In between being a good teacher, he's pretty good at telling a story around everything. If you have a character with a background, he will do his best to weave it into the story.
Character creation
Creating your character
Before the session, we should coordinate to ensure that we have a fairly balanced party of level one characters. We will tie character's backstories in to the nearby town during Session 0. Character options are limited to Player Core 1 and 2 (common ancestries) and the Abomination Vaults Player Guide.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: 1. A mic with good sound quality. Webcam optional. A quiet place where you can play without distraction. 2. A free Forge account to join the virtual tabletop. 3. Access to enough Pathfinder 2e remaster rules to make and/or level up your character. They are all available free and legally online.
What Jesse the GM brings to the table
I provide: 1. Foundry VTT (virtual tabletop) with high quality integrated video on the VTT. No need to tab between windows! 2. The PF2e Abomination Vaults module, which includes premade characters, beautiful maps, tokens, music and ambient sounds. 3. The ability to import characters from pathbuilder2e.com, for those that want to make their own characters. 4. Decent knowledge of the Pathfinder 2e remaster rules. 5. I do voices as well as I can. I roleplay in first and third person. 6. A friendly, fun, engaged, and immersive atmosphere at the table. I run dungeons and the world as lived-in environments. For example, if your party makes a lot of noise, something dwelling nearby might come to investigate. NPCs will remember you. I generally play Rules as Written and don't fudge die rolls. If I don't know a rule, I'll make a call and let you know what the actual rule was between sessions. If a player knows a rule I don't, I'll implement it right away and be grateful. I also encourage improvisation and player agency.

Safety
How Jesse the GM creates a safe table
In Session Zero, after getting our tech set up, we'll make sure everyone's OK with a gritty adventure (violence, danger and horror) and make sure that the party is balanced and functional. We'll hop in right away after that! Session 0 and 1 will happen in the same session. At the end of each session, we will review with Stars and Wishes. This means that people can say what they enjoyed (stars), and express what they would like to see (wishes).
