About the adventure

I want to be upfront. this game is about killing Nazis. Lots of them. In wildly creative and ultra-violent ways. If you’re not comfortable with vivid, graphic descriptions of supernatural carnage, that’s totally fine! I’d recommend checking out one of my Wanderhome games, where you’ll find peaceful storytelling and cozy vibes. However, if you’re the kind of person who’s OK with mindless TTRPG violence in general but suddenly gets philosophical about “the ethics of punching Nazis,” my games aren't for you. We’re here to crush fascists. I’m sure you’ll find another GM better suited to your preferences elsewhere. Still with me? Great. Let’s talk about the adventure. ________________________________________ What You Can Expect This will be a high-octane, combat-heavy game inspired by the pulp chaos of Wolfenstein and Inglourious Basterds. It's designed to run over 1-2 sessions and features: • Pre-generated Vampire Characters: Each with unique abilities and twisted appetites. • Occupied France as Your Hunting Ground: Fight through Nazi territory in a fast-paced, cinematic spree of supernatural violence. • Consume to Survive: Devour Nazi flesh to fuel your occult powers and maintain your bloodlust-driven edge. • Terrifying Supernatural Foes: Encounter werewolf generals and other abominable creatures of the Reich. • The Final Showdown: Confront an amphetamine-fueled Hitler aboard a massive airship above Paris. This game is meant to be fun, cathartic, and darkly humorous. A pulpy power fantasy where vampires take Nazi-killing to the next level. ________________________________________ About the System EAT THE REICH runs on the HAVOC Engine; a fast, rules-light system designed for action-packed, chaotic gameplay. The focus is on cinematic storytelling, where player creativity and risky decision making drive the action. How it Works • Dice Pools for Resolution: roll big handfuls of D6s based on your character’s abilities, environment, and circumstances. You’ll need multiple successes to achieve key OBJECTIVES or overcome OBSTACLES. • Momentum and Escalation: The system is designed to reward risky, bold action, creating a sense of rising intensity in every encounter. • Narrative-Driven Chaos: The rules empower both players and the GM to collaboratively shape wild, cinematic scenes, encouraging over-the-top tactics and supernatural creativity. This system is intuitive and easy to learn, making it ideal for short, high-impact campaigns like EAT THE REICH.

About me

OK 👏Let’s do this. My name is Emil. • Bunnies are mathematically optimized pets. I will not be taking questions. • The best campaign in the world isn’t an AP, it’s the messy one your weird friend ran for you in high school. • Pineapple-anchovy pizza is delicious, but cowards will never know. I came of age in the baroque era of Third Edition and early Pathfinder. Combat was heavy and the rules for grappling required higher order math. All my handouts were barely disguised spreadsheets and my stories had enough teenage melodrama to fill a Tumblr archive. Twenty years later and systems are sleeker. I hide my spreadsheets better now, but the soap opera stuck. These days, I still love and run crunchy, tactical combat games. I also draw on the chaos of Powered by the Apocalypse and the weirdo brilliance of small-press zines. If you have been clutching a bizarre little game nobody else understands, good news! I’ve already devoured it, and I might even have a session prepped and lying in wait for you to ambush your unsuspecting friends with tonight. In the daytime, my alter ego is a teacher. Which might explain my obsession with rules, chaos, and watching characters run face first into obviously avoidable drama. It also means I love helping newcomers find their voice. Whatever your background or experience level, you can count on my table being a safe, welcoming place to learn, explore, and challenge yourself. So, if you are just starting out and worried about being too weird or not getting everything exactly right, congratulations. You are my new favorite. Let’s roll some dice and make some bad decisions.

Character creation

Creating your character

This adventure uses pre-generated characters. I'll aim to schedule one-on-one time with each player before the game to review the available options and answer any questions. However, we’ll make the final character selections together as a group at the start of the first session.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Technical preparation: • The big thing here is that you need a computer with a stable internet connection and a reliable way for us to hear your voice. We are using Discord for audio. You can download it for free if you don’t have it already. The computer version works great if you have a microphone, otherwise, you can put it on your phone and use earbuds. You will also need to make a free account on Roll20.net. This doesn’t require any additional downloads. All services will be provided through the browser Social Preparation: • This is a game that we are all playing to have fun. You should be excited to play and also be excited for other people to join you and have fun as well. Players should arrive with an attitude of friendly cooperation. • Previous TTRPG experience is not a requirement to join. However, players can prepare for the game by familiarizing themselves with basic gameplay concepts such as rolling different-sided dice and using the stats on your character sheet. One-on-one: • I’d like to schedule a short 5-10 minute conversation over Discord sometime before session 0. Just to introduce myself, answer any questions you might have, and smooth over any snags before we jump into the game.

What Emil brings to the table

I will bring the adventure, core rules, and a huge amount of enthusiasm. I love pulpy style games and I'm going to be drawing a lot of inspiration from things like Danger 5, Inglorious Bastards, and the Wolfenstein games. After you sign up, I'll send a link to the game and all you need to do is log on to have access to everything.

Safety

How Emil creates a safe table

EAT THE REICH includes themes of supernatural horror, righteous vengeance, and the brutal destruction of fascist forces. While the tone is darkly humorous and cathartic, the graphic nature of the content requires us to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all players. To achieve this, trust and clear communication between the DM and players are essential. When you sign up, I’ll provide a confidential lines and veils document to help anonymously identify any content you want to avoid. Before we start playing, we’ll discuss everyone’s responses and use them as a springboard to talk about the DM style and tone we want to set for the campaign. Your comfort and safety are my top priorities. Players are welcome to use the on screen X-card and open-door policy at any time, for any reason. Whether you need to pause, skip a scene, or bring up a concern, you’re encouraged to speak up. Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels supported and respected while unleashing chaos on the Reich in the most exciting way possible. Let's have fun, stay safe, and crush some Nazis!
