About the adventure
You find yourself drawn into a strange town claimed by sickness. The locals tell you of an elusive spirit that takes the form of a blue tiger; they beg you to find the beast and gain its favor so that the people may be cured of their ailment. With no way to escape and the threat of illness ever-present, it is up to you to discover the mysteries of this land! This homebrew one-shot adventure takes place in one of many Domains of Dread, inspired by the horror of Ravenloft. Using the new 2024 ruleset, your characters will be put to the test as they explore the seemingly quiet town of Tatekami and find the terrifying heart of its problems.

How to prepare
Please come prepared with a character concept for this one-shot. Character sheets also need to be completed ahead of time-- something I am happy to help with. Make sure you have a good-quality mic and discord account, as well as a Roll20 account.
What I provide
I use Discord for communication and Roll20 as a VTT. I have a Pro subscription and utilize content sharing, which makes character creation extremely easy. I am also an expert with the rules and am happy to provide advice and help to newer players. This one-shot will be roleplay heavy, including important choices that the players must make to dictate the direction of the story. I don't hold back during combat; players will need to think carefully about their actions and work as a team if they want to survive!
Gameplay details
There will be a break in the middle of our game and a chance to debrief after the game. Players can choose to leave the game at any point but will not be refunded if they do so. We will also make use of the X card, which can be called out through text or over VC at any point with zero judgement, and the session will be paused so we can address any potential issues. Because this is a one-shot, many of the potential triggers are essential to the plot and cannot be entirely avoided. Please keep this in mind when considering whether or not this game is for you!

How will character creation work
Your characters will be level 9 (using 2024 rules) for this one-shot. Characters will need to be finalized before the game begins. Stats should be point-buy or standard array, to create a balanced experience for everyone. Everyone may pick ONE common magic item to begin with! Avoid picking perks that require you to be in your hometown or a specific location, as this adventure will begin with you being whisked away to another dimension!
