Planescape: Sigil's Shadow | Pre Faction-War | Weekly Campaign
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
This original story briefly starts in the Material Plane, but mostly takes place in Sigil, the City of Doors, and the various surrounding planes. Along with the overarching story, you'll be free to enjoy/explore the world however you'd like. Anyone of any skill-level, ethnicity, sexuality, whatever, is absolutely welcome at my table. I especially love teaching D&D so let nothing hold you back! "A band of local-heroes known for their prowess & achievements accept a seemingly routine quest, only to have their lives turned upside down in an instant." and all that jazz 🪐 Traverse the Multiverse! 🏠 Leave your mark on Sigil! 🪙 Challenge the Divine! At my table you can expect a relaxed, open setting where player agency is almost always my top concern. I tend to be pretty flexible and try to say "yes" to as many of your unhinged ideas as possible, but I don't tolerate people who maliciously take advantage of it. Every story has its serious moments, and some people/places are very serious, but I do try to keep things lighthearted & goofy for the most part. Ultimately my goal for reach session is that everyone has fun. So sign up and play D&D with me <3 For those very interested in the lore of Planescape and the various planes / what lore we'll be using: I know the most about 2nd edition Planescape lore (Pre Faction-War), so I intend to run the world in that setting. That means it's still the original 15 factions that survived the Great Upheaval, and not exactly the same as what's written in Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse. So keep that "Mind's Eye" stuff out of your mouth berk!
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

How will character creation work
Characters will start at 3rd level. - Point Buy Ability Scores - Milestone Leveling - Standard Starting equipment - Also choose a: +1 Weapon OR a Common Magic Item - Everyone starts with a free feat unless you start as variant human or take a background that provides a feat/spells. - Every race/class is a-OK, but there are no guns/firearms in this world so keep that in mind if you're planning to Artificer it up. Your characters will start as a group of local-heroes from the Sword Coast that already know each other and have been traveling as a party for the last 6 months. You've gained a little renown for yourselves and are finally beginning to take on bigger quests. Since you're starting in the material plane, it needs to make sense that you're character would be there. If this wildly messes up your character idea, I can probably still make it work, just PM me.
