Blue Moon Rising
Pathfinder 2e | One-Shot
About the adventure
The Broken Tusk Following has traveled far to reach the Gornok Plain, and tonight is a time for celebration. Beneath the glow of the Green Moon, the fires burn, stories are told, and the future of the following is honored. But the wilds are restless. The land whispers of unseen dangers. Tracks that don’t belong. Shadows that move when no one is looking. Tonight should be a night of joy and tradition—but fate has other plans. Gather your strength. Trust your instincts. Before the night is over, you’ll need both.

Legend was a fantastic handler in a game of Delta Green with me and my wife. His understanding of the game is top notch, and he never shot down any wild ideas we had (and believe me, there were many of those). Our characters couldn't succeed on a roll to save their lives, but the session was still a blast, which in my mind is the mark of a truly fantastic game master!
The session with Legend was absolutely amazing. He is very welcoming and helpful to new players. Together, you will make wonderful and gripping stories. Due to his excellent improvisation skills, it's a pleasure even to fail a check. :-) He incorporates interesting real places in his games - with a great and immersive description. It was a great game and a superb experience.
Legend offered a wonderful introduction to the Delta Green system! He doesn't just tell you what you see but encourages the players to build the scenes with him, describing to him and the table what we see, hear, and smell in the environments. You're offered plenty of room to breathe and develop camaraderie with the other PCs, with pressure wonderfully applied in moments of tension. Consequences are real and reasonable at this table, but at no point is creativity stifled. Failing rolls has never felt this good!

How to prepare
This game is built on immersion and intensity, and that starts with how you show up. ✅ Discord & Roll20 – All sessions run through Discord (voice) and Roll20. Get familiar with both. ✅ A Solid Mic – Clear audio is non-negotiable. If your mic is bad or you’re in a noisy environment, it breaks immersion for everyone. ✅ Quiet Space – Background noise kills the mood. Find a distraction-free zone where you can focus. ✅ Character Ready – Build with intent. Read the Player’s Guide and come prepared to contribute. If you’re set up properly, we hit the ground running—no wasted time, no distractions, just great storytelling and hard-hitting gameplay.
What I provide
I bring 14 years of reconnaissance experience in the Army to the table, crafting realistic survival mechanics, tactical combat, and immersive world-building. If you enjoy strategic decision-making, resource management, and the thrill of adapting to an evolving environment, this game is for you.
Gameplay details
Fires on the Horizon has a strong survivalist and tribal warfare theme, which means there are several potential triggers that players should be aware of before joining. While I always aim to create an engaging and respectful experience, the nature of the campaign involves some mature and intense themes that may not be suitable for all players. 🔹 Survival Hardships – Hunger, exposure, resource scarcity, and the struggle to keep your people alive. 🔹 Tribal Warfare & Violence – Clashes between clans, raids, and the harsh reality of war in a low-tech society. 🔹 Hunting & Animal Death – Tracking, killing, and harvesting animals for survival, including descriptions of the process. 🔹 Blood & Gore – Tactical combat means visceral descriptions of injuries, battlefield wounds, and harsh conditions. 🔹 Loss & Sacrifice – As a clan-based game, there will be moments where NPC allies may die or be forced into difficult moral choices. 🔹 Cultural & Spiritual Themes – Shamanism, ancestor worship, and tribal customs play a major role in the setting. 🔹 Captivity & Slavery – Some rival factions may take captives, and the Broken Tusks themselves have strong stances on these issues. 🔹 Psychological Stress – The tension of surviving in an unforgiving world, with elements of fear, desperation, and moral dilemmas. Safety Tools in Use: 🔹 Session Zero – The underrated linchpin to any good game. 🔹 Monte Cook's RPG Safety and Consent Checklist – Establishes clear boundaries before play. 🔹 Open-Door Policy – Players can step away at any time, no explanation needed. 🔹 Debriefings – A brief post-session check-in to ensure everyone is feeling okay after the game. 🔹 Breaks – Every hour, on the hour.

How will character creation work
You start at Level 1, but survival isn’t about numbers—it’s about who you become in the face of the wild. 🔹 Pathbuilder – Use the Remaster Rules and include Battlezoo Content 🔹 Free Archetype – Every character gets a free archetype, giving you more flexibility and unique abilities to shape your role in combat and story. 🔹 Rare Traits – If you want something with the Rare trait, run it by me first. It needs to fit the world. 🔹 Player’s Guide – You’ll get the Player’s Guide in your confirmation email. Read it. It’ll help you build a character that belongs in this world. 🔹Other Variant Systems – Further discussion on variant systems will be had during Session Zero. Make someone worth remembering—because in this tundra, only legends survive.
