About the adventure

Dark Sun is arguably D&D's most savage setting. If it was a soup, here's the ingredients: grim dark, low magic, survival of the fittest, ultra violent, defilement of nature, tribes of cannibalistic halflings, lots of sand, you got punched in the face. In other words, it's got lots going for itself. If your not familiar with this world, there's plenty of YouTube videos about it, but here's the quick rundown: *The planet's biology was drained by magic users, because every time a spell is cast, a part of nature gets eradicated. What's left is mostly a ''desert'' like landscape with a few patches of green left. The atmosphere is hot, the sun is a scorching blaze and lots of races have undergone mutations to be able to survive. Other races and plenty of creatures went extinct. Civilisation is ruled by despotic tyrants known as the Sorcerer Kings - power-hungry, hyper nasty individuals.* Here's how your story begins: ''Everything around is burning, corpses splattered everywhere, vultures eagerly descending and the raiders that initiated the massacre, gone. Your Caravan is no more, the people you've know for years turned to ash by a sadistic Warlock. Your small group(players) are the only survivors (due to luck), stranded in one of the deadliest deserts, without proper equipment, but fuelled by an immeasurable appetite.. for vengeance.''
