About the adventure
Bam! Pow! Ziff! Halcyon City is in peril and needs your help! Don the super tights and domino masks of new, young super heroes looking to make their mark in the world and stand out! Rogue robots are out in force, and only you and your team can stop them! Fight villains, navigate high school, build super hero teams, and make friends in this beginner-friendly RPG system. Choose your style of super hero and build your own backstory (tragic or traumatic backstories are not required). Choose your powers, think like a teen, and team up with fellow super heroes to save the day! Role play is the main way your character grows, and you can choose your favorite super hero and play that. Work together to save the city from an underrated threat that goes unnoticed by mainstream supers.
Meet the Game Master
About me
My favorite aspect of TTRPGs is setting up a world with ideas, then letting the players loose into it to see what happens. I love to use 5e as a baseline, then apply custom themes to them. I have run many different campaigns, from a Disney-themed campaign to a Star Wars-themed one, from a Superhero theme to a holiday theme, and a modern-day high school theme to a standard fantasy theme. If you want examples of my GM style, check out the podcast Approximate Heroes for more!

Creating your character
During Session 0, super hero types will be presented and discussed about which ones you will choose. I can go over each of the stats, types, and tropes that are needed, or you can research them here: https://whodaresrolls.com/rpgs/masks-a-new-generation/
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Steady Internet connection. Webcam/mic preferred, but not necessary. Will need Zoom account or sign in. Paper/pencil, or digital character sheet.
What Andrew Stevens brings to the table
I will bring combat maps and ambient scenes. I will make tokens of the characters, so if you have some art of what you want them to look like, please send it along! I can provide digital character sheets if needed. I occasionally use background music. I will always utilize character voices for NPCs. I am open to homebrew or other content, just send it to me to look over beforehand. Combat is usually light, occasionally with a twist or other goal on top of the combat. I like the Rule of Cool, but reserve the right to work with the player to achieve the effect they want while staying within the rules.

How Andrew Stevens creates a safe table
Pre-Session 0, if there are any subjects you wish to bring up to me but not in front of the whole group, send me a message and I will add them to my personal lines so we don't need to single anyone out during a session. In the free Session 0, we can have an open and honest communication about content lines. Aftercare includes chatting about the campaign and if there are any issues that need to be addressed, and if a player wishes to not come forward in front of the group, they can message me and let me know to avoid it in the future. X, N, O cards are digitally messaged to me.
