About the adventure
A role play heavier module for Lancer system. Here is your chance to join an elite mecha pilot academy! An opportunity of a lifetime for your kavaliere to gain renown and awards to rocket them high into Karrakin society. But you will need to navigate the complex political machinations through the school, develop rivalries and put your mech skills where your mouth is to earn your graduation. Taking place in the Karrakin Federation, matters of honor and insult are settled through mech combat, and this stratified society stands on a precipice, and your actions may have a hand in pushing the society for a brighter future for all. Starting at LLO to LL2, this adventure stands as an excellent starting place for players new to the system, and I am excited to show you the ropes and navigate this story with you.

About me
Hello! My name is Keska (she/her/they/them) I have been playing TTRPGs since I was in high school, across a variety of systems, settings and genres. I have been running games in a few different systems for several years for friends and taking these skills onto this new platform. I have done my share of learning new systems from other people, and I hope I can share or teach some of my favorite systems with you, new players are welcome in my games. I am looking to run forward to crafting some stories with you! The systems I am most comfortable in running are Pathfinder 2e, Lancer and FATE. LGBT+ inclusive, and new player friendly.

Creating your character
During the first session, I would like to help build out your characters relationships, including houses and factions they come from and who sponsors them. Here I am trying to help outline where the character stands amongst the political web present at the school, and how recent events effects their opinion and worldview, and helping to make sure they are compatible with the other characters in the party and themes of the adventure. People with experience with knights, knightly duels and some mecha tropes, you will be prepared. Gundam Witch from Mercury would be a great example to start, being in a gundam school and navigating how the classism in the setting effects the characters and how they settle many of their disagreements with honor duels.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I would make sure you have a good mic and/or headphones and familiar with Discord, as I use that to host the games. I would also recommend having a rough character idea ready for the first session and be ready to build them out more. If you want to go above and beyond, I would recommend looking up setting primers for Lancer, particularly the Karrakin Trade Baronies section, or some basic outlines of the combat sections of Lancer rules or the basics of the Foundry VTT interface.
What Keska brings to the table
I have the module built out in the Foundry VTT, with premade maps and tokens for NPCS. Character builder tools can be accessed through Comp/con at no cost to players and with tools available to me, I can assist in making a token for your mech. If you need help using comp/com, please let me know ahead of time. As a personal style, I like to use ambient music to help with mood. The rules of Lancer are flexible enough, I'd like to work with you to find cool places to bend the rules to make cool moments. At the best of my ability, I will do character voices in order to help you differentiate between the various characters.

How Keska creates a safe table
The writers of the module specifically list out these items as content warnings."war, violence, imperialism, classism, institutional oppression, terror- ism, manipulation, bullying, false accusations, drug use, and psychological trauma". These materials may be present in the story, but will be handled with care and professionalism and not for shock value. These characters are protagonists, the risks and dangers these characters face are more social than physical, though some physical risks are present, mostly for NPCs. These characters will be faced with some of these subjects through the antagonists and rivals in the story, with the intention of challenging these ideas and overcoming these antagonists. More details will be covered in Session 0, as well as reviewing safety tools agreeing to terms and making plot adjustments as needed.
