About the adventure

You grip your hands on your own blade, made of iron and imbued with magic, and look across the mouth of the cave at your compatriots. This plan had better work. If you've ever wanted to take on the titular monster of D&D, now's your chance! Take a combat-focused romp into the new 5e Monster Manual against a foe that will require all your wit, cunning, and battle prowess to take down. Let the battle begin!

How to prepare
☑️ Stable internet connection ☑️ Decent microphone and webcam ☑️ Join and be part of the Kai Solace Games Discord server (will receive link upon approval) ☑️ Device with a web browser that can connect to Owlbear Rodeo - will receive link in Discord ☑️ Build or Choose your character and get DM approval ahead of the game ☑️ Be ready to roll dice! You can do this easily in Owlbear Rodeo, D&D Beyond, or even via Google for free, or if you have physical dice you're welcome to use those as well. And, of course... ☑️ Bring yourself, your energy, and your brilliant ideas!

📚 All DnD core rules with shared content on D&D Beyond 📋 Pre-generated characters available 🦉 Owlbear Rodeo - a virtual tabletop that's easy to use right from your browser 🎼 Ambient music & sound effects to set the scene 🗣️ Character Voices As a GM I bring a lot of improv, rule of cool, and "yes and" spirit to the table. I love when players think outside the box and I get to jump off their incredible ideas!
Gameplay details
🎮 Game information will be distributed in my Discord server, where we will have a private area and a community space to chat with other players. 🦺 This game uses the Deck of Player Safety! This online tool allows the players and GM to quickly and anonymously submit topics they don't want to see in the game at the top of the session, creating a list of lines/veils for the game. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ As a trans, queer GM myself, I want my games to be a place where everyone is welcome and can bring their full selves to the game. I run an assertively welcoming table for all genders, orientations, ethnicities, abilities, and identities.

How will character creation work
📋 Pre-generated sheets are available for anyone who wants one! 9️⃣ Level 9 characters ⚖️ Standard Array or Point Buy for ability scores 🎒 Standard starting equipment ✨ 1 Rare, 3 Uncommon, and 3 Common Magic Items ⚒️ 1 set each of any tools you are proficient in Official 5e Content is automatically allowed, and 3rd-party content is open to discussion and review by me! We will be using 2024 rules so I do highly encourage using the new options in character creation as well. I encourage players to talk about what characters they want to play in our Discord server beforehand, so we can find synergy in the party and how your characters know each other before starting the game!
