The Infernal Crucible
Pirate Borg | Campaign
About the adventure
A World on the Brink The Infernal Crucible offers a high-energy, tension-filled journey through a world teetering on the edge of catastrophe. Players will be drawn into a setting where every celebration feels like a last hurrah, and danger lurks behind every toast. Atmosphere of Dread and Revelry The world feels like it’s running out of time. Townsfolk gather around bonfires with drinks in hand—half in defiance of their fate, half in surrender to it. You’ll step into a place where hope and doom collide, and every night could be the last. Unforgettable Characters From eccentric scholars seeking your aid to wealthy patrons who fund your exploits (and get under your skin), you’ll cross paths with individuals whose motives are as layered as their stories. Some will test your patience, others your loyalty—but all will shape your journey. Secrets and Shadows Rumors spread faster than fire—whispers of ancient artifacts, hidden power, and cults working in the dark. The truth is tangled, and every lead pulls you deeper into the unknown. Who you trust, who you follow, and what you believe will guide your path forward. Perilous Expeditions The path ahead will push you beyond the safety of towns into treacherous lands, ancient ruins, and hostile territory. From fire-lit caverns to crumbling temples, you’ll face threats both seen and unseen—and not all dangers carry swords. Feasts, Risks, and Consequences Here, celebration and survival go hand in hand. Drink with the crowd, gain their favor—but beware the price. What you take in laughter may weaken you in battle. A Story That Reacts to You Your actions will ripple across the world. How the story unfolds depends on what you pursue, who you aid, and what risks you’re willing to take. The flames are rising. Will you stand against them—or be consumed?

Game Master Reviews (9)
Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Rule of Cool
Visual Aid
Frog the Pirate is what you get when you mix a GM with a person who genuinely wants people to have fun and tell a great story. He puts in a lot of effort into his campaigns with story, NPCs, and most importantly, improvisation! If you want to do something, he probably has your back. I would recommend "The Inferno Crucible"—it's really good, with good character, and it's your classic adventure of a fellowship saving the world. He truly cares that you have the three golden characters: "FUN"

How will character creation work
I generally like to handle onboarding players and characters ahead of the session to maximize our game time. I do not charge for this short session, it's just a meet and greet, roll up your character. (Pirate Borg uses a Randomized Character generation system, and you will only be allowed to pick your class.), get your username setup, etc. We are always playing session 0 day, but will spend some time covering expectations, comforts, house rules, etc. prior to starting gameplay.
