About the adventure
Sessions 1 and 2 are FREE! Along the coast of the Inner Sea is the Isle of Kortos, home to many villages, towns, and cities. One such town is named Otari - a humble seaside town known for its lumber and fishing. On the surface, Otari boasts peace and prosperity, but something else yet brews unseen. Gather your companions, ready your gear, and set your first foot forward on the start of this grand adventure! This thrilling narrative will take you from lowly level 1 characters fighting giant rats to level 12 hardened adventurers ready to save an entire town from certain doom! Will you rise to the challenge, or will the dangers that lurk just outside of civilization add you to their pile of corpses? This campaign will feature: Two short adventures, Menace in Otari and Trouble in Otari, that are intricately interwoven and supplement the main adventure Abomination Vaults. A heavy emphasis on Roleplaying. This world will be alive and ready for anything you want to do in it! Welcoming to both beginners to roleplaying/playing PF2E, and experienced veterans. Beautifully made maps, made by myself and included in the adventure modules. A regularly scheduled game each week. NPCs that are given unique voices, personalities, and backstories that link to the story. Your initiative in playing will affect the world around you, for better or worse. Your choices will matter! Political intrigue within town between groups that believe different courses of action are necessary. With you in the middle, what do you believe is right and who will you side with?

About me
Aloha! I'm Mark and I love to run games of Dungeons and Dragons 5E and Pathfinder 2E for my players! My style as a DM is more on the RP heavy side. I emphasize making the player a part of the process and crafting a meaningful experience for both the character and the player. In my games, the core story isn't the only focus, but also how your characters live within that story and navigate through both the joyous occasions and mournful moments. I also create my own maps and enjoy making them for games, especially my Homebrew world. I find a lot of joy in creating detailed maps for my players to see and play in. Please contact me if you have any questions! Mahalo!

Creating your character
I will help with character creation, primarily through the web application Pathbulder 2E. I will also be sending a link to a short Youtube series that goes through each step of character creation in the PF2E system using Foundry VTT. For those that need further help, they need only ask. Player characters will have access to the following character options: Free Archetype at level 2 Ancestry Paragon Feat Gradual Ability Boosts Characters should be created and ready before the first session. As far as source books, anything that is official is fine.
This campaign spans the adventure paths Menace in Otari, Trouble in Otari, and Abomination Vaults. I'll provide handouts for each adventure and will have a session zero regarding expectations and getting the group to know one another before the game officially begins. This campaign is beginner friendly, but veterans of the system are welcome as well! First 2 sessions are FREE!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
This game is meant for players 18+. I only ask for prospective players to have a decent Mic for communication to use during the games. Players will not need to bring their own dice or material as the games will be run on Foundry VTT which I will provide the game link to. In the game server, there are handouts that go over the basics of PF2E that can be very useful in learning the system. I recommend reading them over to get a sense for how things work.
What Mark brings to the table
A link to the Foundry VTT server where the adventure is set up and ready to play, a link to my discord server for voice chat and game discussion, and a link to a short Youtube series on the basics of character creation for those not well-versed in it yet. I have ambient and mood music during sessions to set the mood of the scene and am experienced in voice acting NPCs to immerse you in the world. As for rules, I try to stick to Rules as Written as much as possible, but sometimes make exceptions for particularly creative and well-thought out actions that players may bring up.

How Mark creates a safe table
My games will typically refrain from extremely graphic or offensive content. I don't like to describe in great detail things like torture, sexual situations, or sensitive subjects that are too close to things in the real world. Please know that you won't need to worry about things like these when playing with me and if at any time you are uncomfortable, feel free to speak up and I will end whatever it is. Subjects such a torture, sexual situations, and others are in the game, but I often describe them vaguely enough as to not go into extreme detail while still getting the point across. Other than that, my games are well-planned out and prepared before-hand each session, but I can always improvise on my toes if something unexpected happens. I will always make sure that the session is worth your time and money. In terms of Gameplay, I favor a more heavy emphasis on Roleplay and Immersion, but still do my best to make combat challenging and fun despite it not being as constant as other games where the DM does more regular combat encounters. In terms of Puzzle-solving, I don't focus on that as much but expect there to be mysteries and investigations that you can take part of in the world.
