About the adventure
Robyn Hood and her Merrian Band have built a refuge deep within the wild, magical forest of Feywood. In this ancient wood full of magic long kept hidden from them, they have an idyllic society where women, queers, and a few allied cis men have the freedom to make magic and love as they wish. Mentored by the immortal, mischievous Fey, they live lives free of greed and heteronormativity. They are also the defenders of these tiny sprites and their forest… for the Feywood is surrounded on all sides by the realm of the Wicked King John. He is an evil cishet ruler who claims that magic is Devilry, everyone must pay him taxes to fund his wars, and women are property. Now Robyn Hood has taken the offensive, using her Merrian Band to strike back against his injustices and those of his appointed cishet lawman, the Sherriff of Nottallowedham. They steal from the cishets and give to the queers, victims of King John’s oppression, as they await the return of Good Queen Leonora. Where can she have gone? ***** This is a Thirsty Sword Lesbians campaign based on the Robin Hood tales of medieval and early modern England, with splashes from the modern day. How to prepare
In my games, to facilitate bonding and reduce the number of times we accidentally talk over each other, we have cameras and mics on by default, so make sure your setup is working well. We meet on a Discord voice channel on my server, Oaksong Games. Bring your favorite 2 d6 dice as well, or if you prefer, you're welcome to use an online dice roller.
What I provide
I love character voices and portraits to complement NPCs who are guaranteed to be deep, rich characters to drive your storyline forward in unexpected ways. Traditional stabbity-death Combat isn't much of a theme in Thirsty Sword Lesbians or in my gaming style. I love to embrace your coolest, most creative ideas, and I usually ask those ideas to use the rules as written to make sure the game stays balanced for everyone. In addition to 17 years of GMing, I also provide my conflict resolution skills, expertise teaching new systems, and professional leadership facilitating groups. I help new and shy players be heard in the group and encourage more confident players to make space for everyone. When we do get into disagreements or step on one another's toes, I will help guide us to a graceful resolution so that everyone feels safe and heard before diving back into our story.

Creatives: expect this game to reward your creative thinking and deliver inspiration for your daily life! Rainbows: this is the place if you want to be fully welcome in all your many identities. My identities are not always seen and respected in the world, and it's very important to me that you feel safe to bring your whole self here. Together, we create a story where you feel seen, respected, and at ease.

How will character creation work
Characters may be any gender identity, not only women or queer. At Session 0, we will create characters and add custom elements to the setting together. If you're familiar with Thirsty Sword Lesbians, feel free to arrive with a character idea in mind, but it's not required. Only one Playbook is already dedicated to a specific character concept: the Chosen is Robyn herself, who is a playable character.
