JUNKRUNNERS | Steal Technojunk From A Mad Science Facility!
Tales From the Loop | Campaign
About the adventure
1989, Boulder City, Nevada- it's here where you live, and where you become a Junkrunner. You and your friends scavenge for valuable tech trash left behind by the mad science facility just outside of town. The Loop Facility is home to countless anomalies, many of which are valuable, and all of which are dangerous. But you troublesome kids have never said no to danger before. Tales from the Loop is a narrative and character RP focused system, making it easy to run for beginners to the tabletop scene. Each session will consist of tackling some form of mystery or mission, starting with your first job for the Junkrunners gang. You will build a character, age 10-15, who falls into an old 80's movie Archetype- such as Geek, Jock, or Popular Kid. Together, the party will face foes and forces outside of this world- from talking toys to time traveling hitmen. If this all sounds fun, I hope you'll give it a shot!

Storytelling
If anything were to ever describe him, I would use the word "ambitious". Everything I've known him to have done is full of a scope of love and intrigue that only stems from the deepest wells of fixation. Any stumbling blocks that might come along the road are, by and large, superseded by his incredible willingness to sink into a world and take others along for the ride. His ability to set a mood is perhaps something I'm biased about, but one of the rare few times I've ever been hooked into a story on a visceral, emotional level was during one of their campaigns- about Duck Tales, of all things! Very involved, fun vibes. Wholehearted recommendation.
Del has ran so many games, a lot of which were games he's homebrewed himself and each time I've played them they were always something I looked forward to each week! He's a fantastic storyteller and I love how he does characters. He's in general, a fantastic GM and would be great for anyone to play with, especially to those who are new to tabletops.
Passionate and good storyteller. Was great at helping me into tabletops when I was starting out, so I definitely recommend to beginners. I appreciate his charming characters, fun voice acting, style of storytelling, and incorporation of player character backgrounds and arcs into the campaigns. Makes it feel like every player gets attention during a session.
Bunnibelles is an extremely talented DM full of boundless creativity when it comes to world building and storytelling, he's even come up with entirely homebrewed game systems from scratch. The games he's run have always been absolutely gripping and left me eager to the point of impatience for the next session. A very open and inviting DM and a very good fit for those just starting out in the tabletop scene as well.

How to prepare
As a player, you will need a mic and a Discord account, as a private server is where the game will be hosted. You will be provided all needed game materials in said server!
What I provide
As GM, I bring all needed materials to play Loop, as well as a private discord for us to play the game! As an artist, I will also be happy to provide character designs for all players, and art for major NPCs! My GM play style is very character driven. I do voices, embrace the rule of cool, and prioritize the story and player enjoyment above strict rule-following. While the rules will still be mostly followed, whatever best services a narrative takes priority on occasion. The first rule is that any other rule can be bent! There will be occasional puzzles to solve, as there are in any good mystery. Combat can occur, but it will be rules-light, as Loop is not a combat based system. Still, violent conflict can occur, and will be played out like any other scene. Overall, I take player input into account as much as possible. You take priority, even above the narrative and rules!
Gameplay details
Before Session 0, I will send each player a Consent Checklist to learn their "do's and don'ts" in regards to content. I will then adjust plans accordingly, and ask for any clarification if there's confusion. In Session 0, I will show a final Content Warning list for the upcoming campaign and/or session, as well as asking my Players to share their character details with each other. We will establish the party dynamic, if any of the characters know each other pre-campaign, etc. Finally, I will explain the X, N, and O system for future use. After any session, I will host a debrief and aftercare session, where we discuss our feelings about the events of the session, and if anything needs to change going forward. This campaign is LGBT and Beginner Friendly! If you're a fellow member of the LGBT community, rest assured you're in good company. The system this game will be run on is very beginner friendly as well, and I aim to accommodate any experience level. Player fun and safety is my highest priority, and I will always listen to any critique or concern to make the game run better.

How will character creation work
Once players join, I will send them a guide to create their characters before Session 0, and be available in the Tabletop's Discord to lead them through the character creation process. Characters begin at level 1, and I highly recommend having some idea or general backstory concept for your character! It's okay, however, if you're flying blind- I'm happy to help any newcomers build their character from scratch.
