Call of Cthulhu - Through the Mansions of Madness
Call of Cthulhu | Campaign
About the adventure
Join me on a journey through weird tales of cosmic horror. Try to remain sane in the face of truths mankind mustn't know. The campaign will be built using a series of stand alone mysteries and is for all those interested in learning the system, or just exploring the universe.
Game style
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.

Storytelling
Inclusive
I’ve had the pleasure of playing under this GM, and I can confidently say he deserves a full 5 stars. He keeps the game flowing smoothly while making sure every player has a moment to shine. The pacing is spot on—never dragging, always engaging—and there's a great balance of action, roleplay, and creative twists. One of my favorite parts is the character voices and roleplaying. It really brings the world to life and makes every NPC feel memorable. The GM creates a space where everyone feels included and excited to participate. If you're looking for a fun, thoughtful, and energetic storyteller, this GM delivers every time.
Charlie Bastian is so much fun to game with. The quest is told in a way that I am immediately immersed in the story. The details, the chat, the thrill of adventure, all come together to create a fantastic campaign. His use of the maps and "locals" during the adventure help to make the challenge and therefore the thrill, one that I am always ready to come back when the evening has ended.

How to prepare
You'll need discord and roll20, a mic, cams are optional, I don't usually use them during game play. A desire to play in this world. And the book wouldn't hurt *but also isn't necessary)
What I provide
As your Keeper, I'll be bringing 25+ years of experience running ttrpg's and 2ish years of doing so professionally. I'll bring maps, monsters, music, and most importantly the story.
Gameplay details
Hello, welcome, take a seat. This is a game of cosmic horror, and fleeting sanity. Where fear is a lot of the point. So.. a lot may come up, these stories bump into uncomfortable content often. That being said: We're hear to have fun playing games and telling stories together, if something is an absolute no go deal breaker, tell me. We'll skip it, or at least put it behind a curtain. We'll go over all that during session 0, while we're making characters.

How will character creation work
We'll do this during session 0, using the quickfire rules. I'll walk everyone through it, so that we have a team of investigators ready enough to face everything that goes bump in the night.
