About the adventure
I will run a D&D Humblewood 18+ campaign for you, based on your specifications! (18+ just means it's not specifically designed for younger players.) FIRST, we'll collaborate in this Zoom SESSION ZERO (or equivalent chat on Discord) about what you're looking for in an adventure (things you must-have and want-to-have as well as things you'd like to be sure to avoid, what style of adventure you're looking for, the role you see for your PC's in the story, etc.). SECOND, I'll prepare your Humblewood adventure (designed to be played in 2 to 3 hour episodes), and THIRD, I will then run that adventure for you and your group of up to 5 players and provide detailed notes after each session. FOURTH, we'll schedule the play sessions (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) with you and your party. Play sessions are paid sessions, at the rate of $15 for 1-1.25 hour sessions, $20 for 2-2.25 hour sessions and $30 for 4-4.5 hour sessions (your choice). NOTE - the Theme and Genre tags listed below represent what I'm willing to include in my design so that you can choose one or a few from this list as the theme and genre for your custom adventure. NOTE - the degree (hi, med, low) of role-play, combat, and puzzles are listed as medium just to indicate that I can customize these values to suit your needs.

About me
Greetings Adventurers and fellow DMs! I'm your friendly GM/DM Justin Donie, known here as Fungeon Master Justin. I specialize in D&D5e games for parties ranging in size from 1 to 12 people (1-6 online, 1-12 in person), with ideal party sizes ranging from 3 to 5 players, comfortably managing an eight-person campaign at the moment. I've run over 700 D&D/RPG sessions in my 40+ years of playing (590+ of those in D&D 5e in the last 10 years), including a good mix of in-person and remote sessions of D&D (AD&D, 2e, 3e, 5e), Star Trek, Star Wars, Shadow Run, and other RPGs, but my focus is definitely D&D. I was fortunate to spend over 10 years working at Wizards of the Coast, and while I was there I got the chance to write the D&D Adventurers League module 09-03 Hungry Shadows (https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Hungry_Shadows) and to be a contributing writer to Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus. I offer a range of session type and length options including One-Shots (2-3 and 4-5 hours), Marathon One-Shots (5-6 and 7-8 hours) and Campaigns with serial 1-2 hour or 3-4 hour episodes. In addition to the One-Shots and Campaigns I currently offer, feel free to message me about doing a Custom One-Shot for you and your party! I enjoy running both published content and my own homebrew one-shots and campaigns. I am available for both private individual/group events as well as public events, and if you'd like me to run something you've written, I'm open to discussing that too! Please see my GM Style notes for more information about me and what I do! PARTY COMPOSITION: Recognizing that you might be contacting me as an individual looking to play in a game OR as one person representing a group of people who want to play together, please mention in your contact whether you are looking only for 1 slot for yourself or if you have friends who are planning to join the same scheduled event. I normally only run Neutral and Good characters, but I will run Evil's IF the group playing the Adventure agrees to it and we discuss play style well before game time. So if you want to play an evil character, please contact me before booking. SPECIAL REQUESTS: It's always OK to ask me about shifting dates, times, player counts, etc. to better suit your purposes. If I can make it work from my end, I'll be happy to do so!

Creating your character
Character creation can be handled in either a Session Zero or equivalent discussions on Discord, with fine-tuning then taking place after I review your character sheets. While I'm open to a wide range of Player Characters in my sessions, I'll want to ensure the entire group is comfortable with the mix of PCs in the party before we commit to starting the campaign. And yes, I have run games with groups composed of unlikely combinations such as 5 gnome clerics, and it worked great because that's what the party wanted. I don't support evil-alignment PCs in my games unless a party convinces me they have a brilliantly fun idea that's just too good to resist. Which D&D books we leverage for PC races, classes, spells, and other features is open to discussion during Session Zero. I try to keep open to anything that won't break the campaign.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
DISCORD LINK: (Feel free to ask questions there) https://discord.com/channels/749075272598290534/1335886659480191008 ... Use the "custom-pdivate-1" channel. D&D BEYOND CAMPAIGN LINK: https://www.dndbeyond.com/campaigns/join/63453561714274172 FOR SESSION ZERO/DISCORD CHAT - make some notes about what you are looking for from our play experience including Must Haves, Would Love to Haves, Prefer Not To's, Definitely Nots, and any preferences that will help me, such as "how much combat you prefer" and "how much role-playing you feel comfortable doing/prefer to do" (which can be none at all, if that works best for you), etc. FOR THE FIRST SESSION - review the group's Session Zero/Discord Chat notes and make sure you've asked any questions you have before Session 1 gets underway. FOR SUBSEQUENT SESSIONS - review the notes from the previous session, outline any questions you have so we can cover those before the action gets started, have your character sheet up to date (proper level, spells up-to-date), etc. Have some snacks and a drink handy, have your real or digital dice handy, and mention anything that might interrupt the session (delivery coming, need to take care of something around your house/home, etc.).
What Fungeon Master Justin brings to the table
As your Adventure GM, my primary goal is to make sure everyone has a great time, including me! I recognize that every group is different and that the preferences of each group also vary. That's why we'll spend plenty of time in our Session Zero making sure I understand the group's likes and dislikes, preferences and boundaries, and what they are looking for from the adventure. This custom 18+ campaign will be based on a story I originate based on your input. Know that I've run over 600 RPG sessions, over 500 of which were D&D 5e, and that I am the author of D&D Adventurers League module 09-03 Hungry Shadows and was a contributing writer to the book Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, and I've been running custom homebrew campaigns for numerous groups for over 30 years. THE BASICS VIRTUAL/REMOTE: I use Zoom and Discord to host and with D&D Beyond I grant all player characters assigned to my campaign full access to all relevant materials. I provide custom story content, original (my own) and AI-generated NPC, location, and item illustrations, and lots and lots of detailed big and small maps, as well as PDF post-game session notes for every episode. Video recordings may be available if the group is open to it. IN PERSON (Puget Sound area only): For those of us lucky enough to play together in person, I also provide battle maps, a huge collection of minis from which to draw, an awe-inspiring selection of dice (if you forgot your own), memorable handouts, eye-popping props, and other additional features which are negotiable based on party/group preferences (music, lighting, etc.). NPC VOICES I love doing a wide range of compelling NPC voices and sound effects, but if you happen to be a group that prefers that I don't do that, I'm OK either way. Just let me know what you prefer.

How Fungeon Master Justin creates a safe table
The use of the various safety tools listed will be worked out with the group during Session Zero to best suit the preferences of the group while always maintaining a fun and safe play environment. I prefer a very open approach to safety so that everyone feels comfortable at all times. It's our game, so let's work together to make 100% sure we're all having a great time!
