About the adventure

This game will be the start of a world! To begin, this will be based off of the Ghosts of Saltmarsh book. Very mystery much coastal. As we go on however I want to explore the backstories of your characters, how they tie into the story, how they effect the world, how they relate to the other characters' journeys. I'm looking for players who have experience but want to start at level 1, at the beginning of their characters arc. I love when players and their characters drive the story. It's my job to give you interesting experiences and conflicts to make your characters act. I also want to build a world with you guys, so if you like adding in little worldbuilding tidbits this is the game for you!

About me

Hello I'm Jaime! I love Dungeons and Dragons a lot... I kind of hyper-focused on the new 2024 rule-set when they came out last year and have been buying the new books as they've come out so if you're looking to play a game with the updated rules you've come to the right place!

Character creation

Creating your character

You will be starting at level 1! (Party is currently at level 4!!) I think for character creation it is always best having a combination of pre-planning by yourself and group planning to get ideas from each other. So I would say you can bring a general outline to Session Zero and from there we will flesh them out! If you don't feel comfortable making your own character sheet yet that's totally ok! I have many pre-made characters but I can also work with you in a separate (free) session to build it! We will be using the 2024 ruleset! But you may use any races/classes/backgrounds from other 5e books (other than the 2014 core rule books) just make sure you're getting your Ability Score Adjustments from your Background not your Race! If you want to bring in a homebrew idea just message me first so I can approve or deny. I like rolling for stats (4d6, drop the lowest). But if you would like to use the standard array that's also fine!

The current party

We have a druid, cleric, and witch (thank you worlds beyond number!)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

- Free dndbeyond account - Discord account - A quiet place to play - 3rd level 2024 character

What Jaime brings to the table

My alignment is mostly Lawful Good so I do love the rules HOWEVER if I was any other alignment it would be True Neutral. I can definitely be flexible! It's just works best if I know in advance if you wanna do things differently. I was in Destination Imagination so I go by the philosophy of "if it doesn't say I can't do something then I Can do it"

Safety

How Jaime creates a safe table

I will send out a Google Form link for people to fill out their lines and veils (or as I think of it Stoplight Comfort, green, yellow, and red) In Session Zero we will go through what are the lines and veils, introduce ourselves, build some world elements, and either introduce or plan characters.
