About the adventure

Welcome to Geb, where the dead walk, talk, and occasionally ask you to pass the salt. You, on the other hand, are firmly planted at the bottom of the social pyramid—and down here, it's very hard to tell whether you're stepping on corpses or your fellow peasants. In this "ghoul-eat-man" world, you've somehow managed to cling to the shreds of your miserable existence, but that could change! You’ve arrived in the charming hinterland town of Graydirge. Here, one of the lesser Blood Lords (read: not important enough to disintegrate you with a wave), Berline the Reanimator, has a tantalizing offer: complete her little errand, and she’ll reward you with a manor of your very own. But don’t let your ambitions get too high—this is Geb after all. One misstep, and you might find yourself working as a mindless servant for eternity. In fact, the Blood Lords are always hiring, and “job security” here means they’ll keep your body around long after you’ve stopped complaining. This 1–20 adventure path throws you headfirst into the tangled political web of the Blood Lords, a group that thinks backstabbing is a team-building exercise. You’ll traverse the gloomy, desolate expanse of Geb. Can you rise through the ranks, outwit your undead overlords, and finally claim that estate (preferably without becoming its next resident ghost)? In Geb, getting ahead means keeping yours attached.

About me

Hi there, I'm Chris, but I'm often better by my username, yousodumb. With more than 15 years of experience in playing TTRPGs, I have successfully led over five games to completion. My expertise spans from homebrew to modules, and everything in between. What sets me apart is my ability to balance narrative and mechanical play, seamlessly mixing detailed narration with mechanical challenges. I have extensive knowledge of Pathfinder First Edition and Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition, as well as competence in various other systems, including Pathfinder Second Edition. Additionally, I'm passionate about out-of-game puzzles, such as cyphers and codes, which I love to incorporate into my games to challenge and engage players. **Note for direct messages and last minute signups**: my job is very strict about phone usage, and I might not see your message until about 30 minutes before one of my scheduled games.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will start at level one, with free archetype active. Characters can start play with an undead dedication feat (aside from lich) with a feat debt. Players should expect a mixture of both combat and social encounters, so should build characters that can function in either. Characters should be somewhat morally gray or self-serving, the adventure assumes that you will be working within the messed-up system.

The current party

Party composition: Dwarf inventor, construct innovation; Skeleton Sorcerer, undead bloodline; Automaton Dhampire Monk; Level Three, nearly level four.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should have a device capable of running foundry and some sort of microphone for voice communication through their active discord account. While webcams are not required, you can use one if you prefer. It’s highly recommended to read the player’s guide for the adventure path, as well as the rules for playing an undead character. Character creation will be completed as part of session zero and a loose plan for your character to level 20.

What Yousodumb brings to the table

Foundry server will be provided with both premium and free addons to enhance the experience. I will be using the official paizo blood lords maps and module. I tend to run pretty close to the book, occasionally deviating for either niche situations or cool things. Appropriately unsettling voices will be given to npc’s. A discord server for not only for game chat, but also for community with other players in my various games will be available. I will also provide my assistance in learning the game as well as build advice. For players new to Pathfinder 2e, I will set aside a portion of session zero to go over the basics of the system.
